chapter 24: the prime investigates

The next morning

Joshua Haruno flips through the news channels and seeing that the citizens were justified about the incidents until he turns the TV off

JHP: (sighs) this isn't good.

Roman: about what happened yesterday?

JHP: (sits in his seat) yep, I hope that Clue has found something.

Clue had just entered his office

Roman: have you found something, Commander?

Clue: yes I have, Prime you need to see this.

As Clue pulls up the footage of the fight

JHP: okay, what am I seeing?

Clue: remember that Edelgard mentioned something was strange during the fight?

JHP: yes i remember.

Clue: well have a closer look.

Clue adjusts the feed abit

Clue: if I just adjust the lighting and darken it and viola!

Both Haruno and Torchwick rewatch the feedback and they look at each other in surprise

Roman: wait a minute.

JHP: Edelgard was right, something was wrong!

Haruno then contacts Elita and tells her that there was a Semblance was in use and instructed her hold a press conference

Meanwhile

In Team RWBY's dorm

Weiss: we do believe you, Yang.

Ruby: that's right!

Yang: thanks girls.

They turn to Blake and asked her if she believes her by asking her if Mercury had attacked first then she agrees with them

As Ruby, Weiss and Blake were about to leave the dormitory they found Pyrrha stand outside of team JACE's dorm

Ruby: is everything ok, Pyrrha?

Pyrrha: yes everything's alright

Weiss: what are you doing outside of JACE'S dorm?

Pyrrha: i'm hoping that i would chat with Josh

Ruby: (worried) you're not thinking about breaking up with him, Are you?

Pyrrha: no of course not, it's something else.

Ruby and Weiss sigh in relief

Blake: shall we go get a few hot drinks?

Ruby:I'll have a hot chocolate.

Weiss: coffee

Ashe: (behind Weiss) make that two coffees.

Weiss jumps by the sudden appearance of Ashe

Blake: where were you?

Weiss: i thought that you were in your dorm

Ashe: i was in the library with Velvet.

Weiss: (getting suspicious) ok?

Ashe: i was helping Velvet with something so don't worry.

The four leaves Pyrrha when she knocked on the door which was opened

Edelgard: hi Pyrrha. What can I do for you?

Pyrrha: i'm hoping that I could talk with Josh.

Edelgard: he's not here.

Pyrrha: (looking down) oh

Edelgard: he's on the roof if you're looking him.

Pyrrha: thanks, Edelgard.

She goes to the roof and finds Josh

Josh was humming a old song that he made with an old friend long before Garreg Mach Academy Pyrrha was listening to it when he sang it in his own language after he finished it

Pyrrha: that was lovely.

Josh: (turns to Pyrrha) thanks. I've made it with a great friend back at the Tullamarine swords academy. But back then we weren't the best of friends to start with, but when I found out that she liked doing songs. We worked hard to make one of our own

Pyrrha: who was she?

Josh: I can't remember.

Pyrrha: can i ask you something?

Josh: sure.

Pyrrha: do you believe in destiny, Josh?

Josh: i personally believe that destiny is a companion rather then a destination. Does that answer your question, Pyrrha?

Pyrrha: yes, thanks.

Pyrrha kisses him on the cheek

Josh: shall we have a quick spar?

Pyrrha: not really, but I was hoping that you'll join me for dinner.

Josh: i would love too.

The two went for dinner at the fairgrounds not knowing that they were watched by Josh's sister

Cinder: enjoy your time with her while it lasts, Josh.
