OVA 1: Christmas at Beacon

Note: takes place between the breach and the vytal festival Tournament and in the future after the events of volume 9. Please enjoy the track for this special. Please don't sue, I don't own the track.

In the future after the events of volume 9. An slightly older Josh was telling a story to his kids (the sisters are named Sasha and Artoria Erwin). Sasha looks like a younger Hood (Yes. Josh and Hood are married) while her sister was a little bit older

Sasha: hey dad.

Josh: yes?

Artotia: you still haven't told us about the Christmas with aunts Yang and Cinder yet.

Josh: ok I'll tell you. But only you promise that you two would go to sleep afterwards.

Sasha/Artoria: we promise.

Hood: we're also going to meet up with your grandparents at Patch in the morning, young ladies.

Sasha/Artoria: yes mum.

Then Josh starts to tell his daughters about Christmas at Beacon

Seven years ago.

After the city of vale had recovered from the grimm attack. The city had Christmas lights and decorations set up. At Beacon, the students and staff are getting into the spirit of Christmas.

In the dormitories

Team JACE are preparing to celebrate Christmas with their friends. As Constance and Alice are putting up a Christmas tree, Josh was busy cooking desserts and salads. Edelgard is helping Ashe with the last of the Christmas presents.

Ashe: (wiping his forehead) phew. Thanks for your help, Edelgard.

Edelgard: my pleasure, Ashe.

Then Josh came out with a freshly baked bunch of cookies and a couple of hot chocolate.

Josh: great job guys.

Ashe: thanks Josh.

Then Edelgard notices a small box with a necklace that has a snowflake within

Edelgard: what about this, Ashe?

Ashe: oh so there it was.

Josh: where what was?

Ashe: that's a special present for Weiss. I must've forgotten about wrapping it.

He goes to wrap it up and when he finished it he put it away

Edelgard: I can't believe that it's nearly Christmas, Josh.

Josh: me too. It's my favourite time of the year since I was just a kid.

Edelgard: did you get something for Pyrrha?

Josh: Sure did. I personally wrapped it myself after getting it from the city.

Artoria: (voice-over) wait Dad. Didn't you said that Pyrrha died?

At the Erwin household

Josh: yes she did, Artoria.

Sasha: how?

Josh: that's another story for another time.

Hood: can we continue with where you were up to?

Josh: sure.

Return to the story

Team JACE has just finished with their Christmas decorations and all set for the special day to celebrate Christmas with Teams RWBY and JNPR. Then Josh suggests that after presents everyone would watch a Christmas movie. Everyone on the team agreed with him a few days later it was Christmas day. Josh was the first to wake up and he started cooking breakfast for the team. Then he sets up the table when the door opened with his team mates were dressed in their Christmas outfits and Josh was the only one who wasn't in his Christmas outfit. After breakfast Josh had got changed into his own Christmas outfit.

On Christmas night

Teams RWBY and JNPR joined team JACE in their dorm for dinner and are joined by Josh's sister, Cinder as she wanted to share a gingerbread house that she had finished a few days ago with Emerald and Mercury. She had apologise on the behalf of both Emerald and Mercury as they wished to be with them.

Around the time of giving presents but before she leaves them.

Josh: thanks for coming, Cinder.

Cinder: my pleasure, Josh. And once again Emerald and Mercury send their apologies for not coming over for dinner.

Josh: it's fine. Don't forget that we are also going to have Christmas tomorrow with mum and dad.

After that being said that. Cinder gives her brother a hug and left

Ashe: (calls over) Josh? Where are you? You're going to miss out on presents.

Josh: coming.

He joins his friends and they started to give each other their presents. After Ashe gave Weiss his special present to her. She gave him a hug and kissed him as well as Pyrrha. Afterwards they watched a Christmas movie called The Polar Express.

After his story. Artoria and Sasha went to bed. While their parents were having some tea before bed

Hood: that was a beautiful story, Josh.

Josh: thanks, dear. I knew that they would enjoy the story.

The two shared a kiss and they too went to bed

The next morning.

The family are preparing to head to Patch then Josh's scroll buzzed.

Josh: hello?

Voice: Merry Christmas Josh.

Josh: Merry Christmas Ashe.

Ashe: i thought that I would let you know that we're going to patch as well.

Josh: We?

Weiss/Anthony: Merry Christmas, Josh.

Josh: Merry Christmas. Hey Ashe, do you know if Constance and Jaune are heading over as well?

Ashe: she told me that they are but I don't know though.

Josh: ok then, We'll see at Patch.

He finishes his call with Ashe while Hood was waiting for him.

Hood: who was that?

Josh: Ashe and Weiss.

Hood: nice. I can't wait to catch up with Weiss over some tea.

Josh: same.

The girls: Mum! Dad! Aren't we going to patch?

Josh: we're coming.

The family left for Patch for Christmas lunch as the children were playing their parents were chatting with each other until Josh calls everyone for lunch.
