At the ballroom

Yang has been welcoming students and staff to the dance when she notices Ruby

Yang: oh you look so adorable!

Ruby: (struggling with the high heels) can we talk about how weiss fights in these things?

Ashe: (to Ruby) proably because she has good balance

Ashe, Josh and the others arrived

Yang: (to Pyrrha) are you and Josh started dating yet?

Pyrrha: yes we are, Yang

Yang: That's cute

Josh: more importantly did you managed to get blake to come?

Yang: yes I did, and I Explained to her about my past

Edelgard: (confused) Your past?

Yang: that's right

afterwards the group joined the partygoers

professors port and oobleck are chatting, General Ironwood offers goodwitch a dance

Ruby is standing on the side until Armitage approches Ruby

Ruby: (grumbing) stupid lady stilts

Hux: not enjoying yourself, Miss Rose?

Ruby: I'm not much a fancy party person

Hux: someone once told me when i was your age that the battlefield and dances are roughly the same thing but the only difference is with dance partners until one or the other gets either a swollen ankle

Ruby: or a broken heel

At the entrance of the ballroom

Yang welcomes Emerald and Mercury and they went to enjoy the dance until Josh notices that Cinder is nowhere

Josh: Where's Cinder?

Emerald: She's just running late

Josh:ok then

Josh goes to find his team

Emerald: the party is going smoothly

Cinder: (over radio) how much longer?

Mercury: we'll be back roughly around midnight on the safe side

Outside

Cinder: I'll be sure to keep an eye on the clock. And Emerald

Emerald: yes?

Cinder: keep an eye on my brother

Emerald: Will do

Cinder heads towards the CCT tower and takes out the guards

Cinder: (holding a scroll) this will be handy

Edelgard approaches Josh

Edelgard: can i have a dance?

Josh: (to Pyrrha) you don't mind, do you?

Pyrrha: sure thing.

Edelgard and Josh share a dance

Edelgard: we haven't had a dance since the Garrag Mach Academy's ball

Josh: yea I agree with you

The two finished their dance and met with Ashe and Constance

Josh: this is a nice change of pace

Ashe: it'll be nice while it lasted though

Edelgard: back to work from tomorrow too

General Ironwood approches the four friends

Ironwood: I don't believe we've been introduced, I'm General James Ironwood of Atlas

Josh: I'm Josh Erwin, Team Leader

Ashe: names Ashe

Constance:mine's Constance

Edelgard: My name is Edelgard

Ironwood: (to Josh) Can we have a brief talk?

Josh: Sure General

Ironwood and Josh walked away from the others

Josh: so what do you want to talk about, General?

Ironwood: you look just like Krannic, Josh

Josh: you know my father?

Ironwood: I do. and he's the only one who can keep Miss schnee's father in check

Josh: I was under the empression that he also helps the faunus in Atlas

Ironwood: he does help them, one of my ace ops joined by his recommandation

Josh: Cool. one of my friends spoke highly of him last semester

Edelgard: (calling) Hey Josh,Pyrrha wants another dance with you

Ironwood: I hope we'll be able to talk again later, Josh

Josh: same general

meanwhile at the tower

Cinder is working at one of the terminals

Emerald: a party guest is leaving

Cinder: (sighs) which one?

Emerald: Ironwood

Cinder had just finished when Ruby arrived

Ruby: (calling out) Hello?

Cinder gets out of her hiding spot and then attacks Ruby she deflects the oncoming projectiles when Ironwood arrived. Cinder had already disappeared on the way to the dance she changes into a dress

Cinder: (taps on pyrrha's sholder) may I dance with my brother?

Pyrrha: sure

Pyrrha then kissed Josh on the check then the two siblings dance

Josh: you're late

Cinder: sorry about the delay, i just needed to finish some homework

Josh: you look great

Cinder: thanks, Did Ironwood say anything to you?

Josh: he said that he knows our father

Cinder was surprised

Cinder: how does he?

Josh: i think that father always watchs out for the Faunus

Cinder: (thinking) I better tell Adam not to undersmate our father or Josh

as the two continue to dance the clock strucked midnight
