chapter 16: Confrontation

Night

After Josh's watch was finished. Alice is keeping an eye out for anything out of the unknown while everyone else is asleep until Zwei wakes up

Ruby: (waking up) Zwei?

Zwei just runs off

Ruby: (whispers) Zwei!

She notices him doing his 'business'

Ruby: ugh, Zwei you could've done that anywhere this is a wasteland

Zwei barks

?: what was that?

?2: what was what?

?: I thought I heard something

?2: probably just a Beowulf or something let's get back to base

Ruby and Zwei overhears a couple of White Fang members and hides

Ruby: are they gone? One bark says yes

Zwei barks once this means that they found the base that they're been looking for just as she goes to get the others she falls through a hole after throwing Zwei on the surface and was captured

Meanwhile back at camp

Alice: wake up Edelgard, it's your turn, huh?

Josh: (waking up) what's wrong?

Alice: you didn't see Ruby go anywhere did you, Josh?

Josh: not really

Zwei comes back barking

Yang: Zwei, where's ruby?

Oobleck runs downstairs and appears around the corner

Oobleck: What?

Ashe: (waking up) i haven't seen her

Constance: me neither

Edelgard: then where is she?

Oobleck just remembers what happened with mountain Glenn

Josh: so if that means we must start looking for her. Right Doc?

Oobleck: that's right

As Oobleck and the students starts looking for Ruby

Weiss notices a hole

Weiss: guys, over here!

Blake finds ruby's scythe

Ashe: isn't that Ruby's scythe?

Edelgard: it is.

Josh: do you think she fell?

Oobleck: fell?

Oobleck suddenly realised that the village underground was the best place for an underground crime network

Oobleck: if miss Rose is down there (pulls out his weapon) we must find her.

With Ruby

She was being playfully attacked by Roman

Roman: you know, your so much better to handle without that gardening tool of yours

Just then he heard an explosion in the distance

Roman: (Shouts) What's going on here?

Sees team JACE and the rest

Roman: oh great, not them from before (sees Ruby making a run for them) somebody kill her

Ruby manages to reach the others

Josh: are you ok, Ruby?

Ruby: i'm fine but listen Torchwick is here and he has all sorts of stuff on-board

Just then a train horn was heard

Edelgard: how are they going to get them out?

Oobleck: those tracks lead to a dead-end

Alice: and what's at the... Oh no

Josh: that's where Vale city is!

Blake: so what do we do?

Ruby collects her scythe from Ashe and tries to call Jaune for reinforcements only to get a low signal

Josh: We've got a train to catch.
