chapter 7: Blake's secret

A few days later

Teams JACE and RWBY were in vale city while Constance has her umbrella open to avoid the sunlight hitting her

Weiss: ah, the vytal festival. A time where students from all over visiting. there's going to be a dance and a tournament

Ashe: (to Ruby) I've never seen Weiss like this before.

Ruby: me neither

Josh: um can I ask: why are we doing at the docks?

Constance: (holding her nose) Belgh it smells like fish!

The group past a crime scene

Edelgard: whoa what happened?

Detective: robbery

Detective 2: I wonder who or what needs this dust for

Detective 1: probably the White fang

Weiss:hmph, what a buch of degeneratives

Josh: we never heard of them before.

Blake: (surprised) really?

Constance: that's right, we're not really from around here.

Just then they heard shouting from the docks

Sailor: you no good stowaway!

Boy: ha-ha, a no good stowaway would get caught. I'm a great stowaway

The boy was hanging upside down by his monkey tail

Detective: (from earlier) get down from there this minute

The boy threw a banana peel at the Detective and runs off past the group winking at Blake

Yang: well Weiss you wanted to see the competition

Weiss: quick we have to go after him

Josh: (to Blake) you coming?

Blake: huh? Oh sorry, I'm coming

The group chase after the boy and the Detectives until Weiss bumps into a girl

Weiss: oh no, we've lost him

Ashe: uh Weiss?

Weiss noticed the girl under her

Girl: Sal- u- tations

Constance: are you alright?

Girl: yes I am

Edelgard: do you want to get up?

Girl: yes I do

The girl jumps up

Girl: my name is penny. Nice to meet you

Ruby: hi Penny. I'm Ruby

Weiss: I'm Weiss

Blake: blake

Yang: did you hit your head (blake hits her side) oh I'm yang

Josh: the names Josh

Ashe: I'm Ashe

Constance: the honour is mine. You can call me Constance

Edelgard: Edelgard, at your service

Penny: it's so nice to meet you

Josh: uh you already said that

Penny: (smiling) so I did. (Gets close to Josh) you look like your father.

Josh: uh?

Ruby: welp take care friend

Weiss: so where did he ran off to

Josh: beats me

Just then penny suddenly reappeared

Penny: what did you just called me?

Edelgard: (looking confused) where did?

Penny walked through the group towards Ruby

Penny: am I really your friend?

While team WBY wanted Ruby to decline as team JACE wanted her to accept

Ruby: well I guess

Weiss and the other two fell comically while team JACE put thumbs up then Weiss asked penny if she knew the Faunus from the docks and had a picture of a roughly drawn faunus

Ashe: when did you draw that?

Weiss: it doesn't matter, did you see him?

Penny: uh who?

Weiss: (flaying her arms) that filthy faunus from the docks!

Penny: i don't think i have, sorry

Blake was getting annoyed

Blake: he isn't a filthy anything

Weiss: what? Are you asking me a trash can is a trash can or a lam-

Ashe stops her from saying anything else

Ashe: ok Weiss. I think we get the picture

While Blake and Weiss were arguing

Josh: come on guys let's go

Penny: where are we going?

Edelgard: sorry Penny. But we need to head back to Beacon

Penny: ok see you next time

Later

Blake and Weiss are still arguing

From team JACE'S dorm

Ashe: (sighs and put his head into his hands) how much longer are they going?

Constance: i don't know

Team RUBY'S dorm

Weiss: I don't see what the problem is

Blake: and that's the problem, unlike Josh's father and his supporters, the faunus are still trying to have a place to have home

Weiss: and you think it's my fault?

Blake: it's not just that it's the SDC that made most of them suffer

Weiss: how dare you! So what the SDC didn't take responsibility for their workers but allow me to explain as to why that I don't trust either them or the White Fang

Weiss explains why she didn't like

Blake: (shouts) then perhaps we haven't been pushed around!

Her team mates were surprised blake realises what she just said and ran off

While Josh was on his way to team RWBY's dorm when she ran past him

Josh: (to himself) I better go and check on her

He goes after her and finds her standing in front of a statue. She took her bow off revealing a pair of cat ears

Josh: (to Blake) I've always wondered what made your bow twitch

Blake: (surprised) where did you come from, Josh?
