A/N: I just want to say that probably after this chapter I'll include things from the comics. So, they'll be spoilers for those. Before this I was writing it if you had seen all of ATLA and LOK

5 years later...

Zuko's P.O.V.

It's been five years and I think I've raised Izumi pretty okay on my own. Angg and Katara had Bumi, and they're also having another child as well. Izumi and Bumi get along okay. We were going to have a reunion here in the fire nation. So, Izumi was excited about having Bumi to play with again.

"Daddy, do my hair, please." Izumi asked as she held up a brush, a hair tie, and her head piece to me.

"Alright." I said as I took the brush and hair tie before sitting down on a chair. She sat on the floor in front of me before I started brushing her hair. Then I put it in a small bun, with the rest of her hair down, and put on her head piece. Since I was done, she went and looked in a mirror before looking back at me.

"I like it! Thank you!" She said as she ran to me and hugged me.

"You're welcome." I said as I hugged her back. "Come on, let's see if Bumi is here yet."

"Okay! Let's go!" She said as she pulled me by my hand and she basically pulled me out of the chair. She also dragged me around the front of the palace. We waited on the stairs for a little bit before we saw Appa falling low until he landed on the big stone pathway.

"Bumi!" Izumi called as she ran towards Appa, and I walked behind her.

"Izumi!" Bumi called back as he calmed off of Appa. When they got to each other they high fived.

"You high fived? Why not a hug? You two haven't seen each other in awhile." I asked. I didn't really care if they hugged or not.

"Because of cooties, uncle Zuko!" Bumi said.

"Cooties?"

"Yeah! You get them by being lovely bovey." Izumi said before I chuckled and shook my head.

"Oh, they're just being kids." Angg said as he walked towards me.

"Yeah, I guess. How have you been?" I asked.

"Pretty okay." He said before Katara started to slid down Appa's tail while holding her stomach. "Katara, let me help." He said as he walked to her helped her down the rest of the way.

"Angg, I can take care of myself. I'm not helpless, I'm pregnant." She said.

"I know."

"Nice to see you again, Zuko."

"Nice to see you too." I said before carefully hugging her. "We can go inside if you want." I said as I let her go.

"Yeah, I want to. I need to feel solid ground." Toph said as she got off of Appa.

"Alright, we can do that. Izumi, you and Bumi can go play now."

"Tag you're it!" Bumi said before running off.

"No fair!" Izumi said before running after him. We laughed before walking towards the palace. I looked back where Appa was and Sokka was getting a couple things and a couple servants were giving Appa a bail of hay.

"Is Sokka okay? He isn't coming with us." I asked.

"Not really. We should probably tell you now." Katara said.

"Tell me what?"

"Suki passed away recently and he's pretty hurt about it. We brought him with us to get him out of his room in the southern tribe. He'll still need time to heal though."

"Okay, thanks for telling me." I said as we walked inside. We mainly just ate and talked for a few hours, but Sokka still wasn't wanting to talk. Which is unlike him because we're used to him talking and joking all the time. I eventually excused myself before putting my hand Sokka's shoulder.

"Come on, I want to talk to you." I said before he nodded and followed me. I lead him to the garden where the pound of turtle bucks lived. I sat under the tree next to the pound and he sat next to me.

"So, what did you want to talk to me about?" He asked.

"That I'm just sorry about Suki."

"Guessing Katara told you."

"She did, but don't be mad at her about it."

"I'm not. I'm just, I don't know."

"You're probably just muring like I was when I lost Mai. I pretty much wanted to cut myself off from the world even though I had to lead the fire nation. Izumi was pretty much the only one keeping me from doing that. I wanted to make the nation better for her to grow up in."

"Yeah, but me and Suki didn't have a kid like you and Mai."

"I know that, but I'll still be here for you. I know what it's like, you can talk to me about it if you need to." I said as I put my hand on his shoulder. He didn't look at me, but he seemed like he was holding something back. "You can cry too. It's okay to cry." I said before a couple tears started to fall down his cheeks. I hugged him and let him cry into my shoulder while rubbing his back. He did stop crying after a couple minutes, but he didn't let go of the hug. So, I continued to rub his back.

"Thanks for letting me get that out."

"No one else wouldn't?"

"No, but I didn't want to be like this in front of someone else. You're just different to me."

"Why? I'm basically the worst when it comes to handling emotions."

"You've gotten better."

"Wh-" I got out before I felt his lips on mine. I was surprised at first, but I closed my eyes and kissed him back. He put his hands on my cheeks and I rested my hands against his chest. We eventually pulled away, we just looked at each other and blushed.

"I-I..." He started. I just continued to stare at him, still shocked. "I shouldn't of done that. I-I'll go." He said before letting go of me and walking away. I finally got out of my shock before standing up and trying to grab his arm.

"Sokka, wait!" I said before I got ahold of his arm, but he shook my hand off and continued to walk away. I just stood there while holding my hands to my chest.
