You sighed deeply as you closed the door to your family home. You leaned your back against the hard surface and closed your eyes as memories of the night with Raphael surfaced in your mind.

You frowned however when you could hear the sound of footsteps approaching. You opened your eyes to see your father leaning against the wall with his arms folded across his chest.

"Where have you been, it's almost 2 in the morning" he said as he arched an eyebrow.

You pushed yourself away from the door and walked past him towards the stairwell. "I was out, with Clary" you lied as you stepped up onto the first step and turned to look at your dad.

"Still that's awfully late, I'm starting to question whether or not Clary is that good of an influence on you"

"Dad, I'm almost an adult. I go to all the pack meetings and do extra shifts at the bakery, so the least you can allow me to do is to be out with my friends at night" you sighed as you rubbed at your forehead. "Now can I please go to bed, I'm tired"

Your dad smiled at you and reached out to ruffle your hair. "Of course, hunny. Sleep tight"

You flashed him a small smile before you turned back around and hurried up the stairs to your bedroom. You closed the door behind you before you ran over to your window and opened it.

Raphael climbed in with ease and gave you a cheeky smile as you walked over to the bed and sat down. You rested your head in your hands and rubbed at your temples.

"Hey, what's the matter?" Raphael asked as he walked over to you.

He sat down bedside you and rubbed a hand up and down your back.

"I'm just tired of sneaking around all the time. I feel like some day we will get caught and I'll never be able to see you again" you could feel tears well up in your eyes, and Raphael immediately pulled you into his arms.

"That won't happen, I won't allow it" he mumbled into your hair.

You buried your head into his chest and breathed in his familiar scent. "You have no idea how deep rooted my parents hatred for vampires is" you said as you gazed up at him.

"I don't, but I do know that I love you so incredibly much and that I wouldn't let that get between us, ever" Raphael reassured you as he scooted back in the bed so that his back was resting against the headboard.

He patted the spot next to him and you crawled over to him and laid down with your head resting on his chest as you fingers traced tiny little figures onto his shirt clad chest.

"I love you too" you whispered. "I just hope my parents will come around some day. You know, I never thought I'd fall for a vampire, I always thought I'd end up with another werewolf" you added as you gazed up at him.

"And I never thought I'd fall for a werewolf, our kinds have never really seen eye to eye"

"Could you imagine what would happen if I brought you to a pack meeting, or if you actually brought me into the DuMort through the front gate" you said as you giggled.

"I think they'd be too stunned to even do anything" Raphael said as he rubbed small circles into your back.

"Yeah, that's probably true" you agreed as you snuggled closer to him. "It's a bit crazy though to think that we found love where it wasn't supposed to be"

"Or maybe this is exactly where it was supposed to be" Raphael said making you giggle.

"Oh my god, that was so cheesy" you said.

Raphael pressed a kiss to your forehead. "It is true though"

"One day we will convince them, that a werewolf and vampire can be together" you mumbled feeling half as sleep as the activities of the day were catching up to you.

Raphael smiled when he could feel your heartbeat slowing down indicating that you had fallen asleep. He stroked your hair as he pressed a chaste kiss to the crown of your head.

One day the two of you would have to challenge the misconception about werewolves and vampires but today was not that day, today it was enough just to stay by your side and spend every moment he could with you.
