Jace
When Jace asked you out on a date and you said yes you had no idea what to expect, but this was certainly not it.
"What are we doing here?" You asked with a curious smile as you looked out over the ranch Jace had driven the two of you to.
"Do you know how to ride?" the blond asked as he led you to one of the many stables.
"Don't you remember I grew up in Idris? It's kind of a given that you're able to ride then" you said, your curious smile turning into one of amusement instead.
"Of course, I obviously knew that" Jace tried to play his mishap off as he turned away from you to open the stable door.
"What are we doing here anyways?" You repeated your question once again as he turned to face you.
"We have to ride to get to where we're going" he explained before he took your hand in his and led you into the stable.

You looked over at Jace from where you sat perched up on your horse and smiled when you noticed that he was already looking at you. His blond hair glistened in the sunlight and the smile that was painting his lips made your insides turn to mush.
"Wanna race?" He asked suddenly, breaking you out from the trance like state you had been in.
Your previously relaxed smile turned into that of a competitive one as you changed your grip on the reins. "Where's the finish line?" You asked as a smirk crept along Jace's lips.
He turned to look ahead of you both and pointed at a groups of trees a bit further away. "By the trees. The first one there wins" he said as he turned his head to look back at you.
"Let's do it" You rode up to where Jace had stopped a foot in front of you and pulled on the reins to make your horse come to a halt next to him. "Hope you're ready to lose" You said feeling rather confident.
"Who says you're going to win?" Amusement was clear in Jace's voice as he cocked an eyebrow your way.
"I do, and I will" you announced before you loosened your grip on the reins a bit and pressed the heel of your boots into the horses side and took off down the narrow road at a fast pace, leaving Jace in the dust behind you.
"Hey, that's cheating!" The blond called after you and you laughed out loud as you heard him urge his horse on.
Your smile widened as you got closer and closer to the finish line with Jace still behind you. You easily crossed the finish line before him and pulled the reins in to make your horse stop before you swung your leg over its broad back and jumped off just as Jace rode up to where you were.
"I won" you said as he too jumped off his horse and walked up to you.
"Only because you cheated" he argued as he stopped in front of you.
