Jace
You were furious and worried sick at the same time.
You had been woken up by Izzy in the dead of night to tell you that Jace and Alec had gone out on a mission to track Jonathan down without any back up.
Several of hours had passed since Izzy had told you this and it was now early morning and you still hadn't heard anything. You were paving back and forth in front of the door leading into the institute when it finally opened and your boyfriend along with Alec stepped inside.
The two of them were chatting as they walked towards the armory to return their weapons. You quickly intercepted them however. When Alec saw the look on your face he quickly fled the scene.
"What the fuck Jace? Do you have any idea how worried I've been?!" You exclaimed as you stared up at the tall blond.
Jace smiled. "[Y/N], it's fine, I do this stuff all the time" he replied nonchalantly.
"Seriously Jace, that doesn't mean you can't get hurt. I've been up for hours worried sick. I know you're skilled but Jonathan is too so you can't blame me. I don't want anything to happen to you, I don't know what I'd do if anything did" you rambled on, stopping suddenly when you saw Jace smile widen.
Before you had the chance to get another word out he wrapped you up in his arms, not caring that the entire institute could see his display of affection.
You didn't say anything but instead wrapped your arms around his broad back, happy he was safe, and little did you know Jace was feeling the exact same way, overwhelmed at the thought that someone actually cared about his well-being enough to cuss him out in front of everyone.
Alec
"How long did it take you to learn how to do that?"
Alec whipped around when you spoke up behind him and gestured towards the bullseye he had just hit with his bow and arrow.
You knew Alec had just had an argument with his mum about him running the institute, almost anyone in a five mile radius heard it, so when you saw your boyfriend storm out of the office you knew exactly where he was headed.
You could see the tenseness in his shoulders visible go away when he spotted you.
"How did you know I was here?" He asked as you stepped up to him and wrapped your arms around his neck to give him a quick kiss.
"You might think you're very mysterious and hard to read, but you're really not. It was a given you'd be here" you said with a smile gracing your lips.
Alec returned your smile as his free arm wrapped around your waist.
"So, you gonna teach me how to do that or not?" You said as you looked over at the target he had just hit.
