For the first time in what felt like an eternity you had slept throughout the entirety of the night. No images of his face haunted your mind and no memories of times you'd never relive stalked you in your dreams.
You sat up in bed and ran a hand through your hair. You picked your phone up and stared at the lock screen before you unlocked it. It was a photo of you and Jace with him standing slightly behind you with his arms around your waist. You gazed up at him with love in your eyes as a small smile restated on your lips and he in turn looked down on you with his lips turned upwards into a smile.
You went into settings and pulled up your lock screen. You stared at it for a couple of seconds with your thumb hovering above the screen. You deleted the picture and changed your Lock Screen to a picture of yourself where you stood smiling with a seraph blade in your hand, your hair a mess but your stance still powerful and downright badass. This picture had been taken after your first battle with your friends at the New York institute.
You closed your eyes as a small smile rested upon your lips. You could feel the first rays of sunlight caressing your face as they sneaked in through the blinds. The sun had come up and you didn't miss him anymore. You had finally gotten over him

A/N Everything this morning went wrong and I felt like crap so I decided to call in sick but now I feel really guilty even though I know it's important to take a day off for yourself. I feel like I let my boss down.
