"The letter has been planted and already received."
Great.
That was no surprise since Rex usually goes to get his food badge from in his locker at the end of third period.
The bell was about to ring for lunch.
The other three should already be on their way to the parking lot.
"Everyone has their masks?"
"Yeah."
"Everyone knows their target and role?"
"Could you go over it one more time?"
If it wasn't for Kent, I would've denied.
"Tom, Tyler and I are drivers.
Kent and Evan are to grab Jones.
Jason and Franklin are to grab Mac.
Brad and I will grab Simon and Cooper will plant the letter for Rex.
Cooper will sit in the back with Simon and you all will sit with who you've grabbed.
Everyone has a gun and a knife.
You are not allowed to shoot the captives.
But you can stab them.
I expect Rex to try to chase us.
Tom will take the coastal route.
I'll take the main road and Tyler will take the city back streets.
Everyone will make at least two loops before pulling into the gym.
Store the captives in torture room after knocking them unconscious.
Meanwhile, Rex would be relaying our message to his boss.
Then tomorrow evening, he'll come to the meeting spot where Brad, Jason, Evan, Cooper and I will ambush and take him in."
The bell rung as soon as I was done my explanation. Right on time.
I looked at Kent to make sure he understood. He nodded.
I briefly looked at the other guys.
Everyone was ready.
We all wore nearly identical clothing and a variety of coloured hoodies.
Tom wore a green, Tyler wore a yellow, Franklin wore Black, Evan wore white, Cooper wore maroon, Jason wore orange, Kent word blue, Brad wore sliver and I wore red.
We passed out through the canteen exit and made sure to only leave parking near our cars. All of which we never used to come to school and had no license plates to prevent tracing.
Rex was now exiting and the guys were now coming out of their cars. We had to be quick.
Simultaneously, we pulled our masks and hood on and broke into a sprint.
The first to see us was Mac.
"Yo what's this ab-"
The only thing heard after was Franklin's gun butt colliding with his skull as Tom, Tyler and Cooper started up the cars.
"Mac!"
Simon quickly joined Mac in his induced slumber when my knee slammed right into his head. Brad dragged him into the car.
Jones didn't even get to say anything before Evan hit him right behind the neck, send it him straight to the others.
Cooper quickly slipped the letter onto the nearest car and everyone drove off to their designated routes as Rex ran into the parking lot bewildered.
After grabbing the paper, he ran to his own car and attempted to follow Tyler's car with Jason and Franklin. Bad choice.
Nobody knew the back streets better than Tyler. It took no time at all to reach to the gym, cautiously of course.
I was last to reach however as I had to scout the stage for the ransom meet up and pick up lunch.
The scheduled time for the meet up was 8pm tomorrow. The location was on the northern beach. This was because of two reasons.
One was because of the nearby stream.
And the other was because of our familiarity with the site.
The stream was where we'd carry uncooperative captives...
The beach itself was vast and always full.
Your probably think that it would be a bad place to perform an abduction.
But it was the opposite when you had five or more persons.
With a big enough crowd, you could more than just grab someone.
What made it better was the coastline parking.
Tom and Tyler had to watch over the captives while the meet up took place because their tattoos would be a dead give away of their identities. Franklin would monitor the escape route.
Nobody would actually go to the beach in a hoodie.
Our disguise was less suspicious and might I add 'present'.
Because we would barely wear anything.
Just some beach-themed swimming trunks, coupled with sun glasses.
Of course when Rex was in sight we could have to put our masks on.
But in order to get him to not be suspicious of an ambush, one of us would have to approach him maskless.
That person was chosen to be Brad.
Simply because he recently came from Purvis, the north pole and nobody knew he was here, far less for what he looked like.
Brad would lure Rex near the stream.
Of course we were aware of the possibility of him bringing along reinforcements, completely defying the ransoms request.
I made sure to ask for fifty thousand dollars per head.
If he brought the money, we would use it to buy more equipment for the extraction.
With Rex's reputation, only three things could happen.
He could show up without the money, bringing along reinforcements and attempt to capture us instead.
He could also show up with the money and still attempt to capture us in hopes to rescues his comrades.
The most befitting move that he could make was to show up, without reinforcements but with the money.
That way we would be fooled that he was complying only to be attacked unexpectedly.
There was one problem with his supposed plan. We had our own to counter any possibilities.
If he brought reinforcements, Cooper, Jason and Evan would take care of them while Brad and I grabbed Rex.
This mission would provide some field experience for Cooper and Brad.
For now, I needed to get into contact with some people that I put to keep an eye on Luke.
He knew more than he was letting out.
His eyes held more honesty than his words.
Once I was inside the gym, I could see Cooper making his bed, Tom was on his phone and Franklin was smoking a cigarette.
I supposed the others were interrogating or waiting for the captives to awaken.
Once I was back into the planning room, I found Brad waiting for me.
"Mac and Jones is still unconscious. Simon woke up as soon as we dropped him off in the torture chamber."
I had a little time for a phone call then.
"Go prepare lunch, I left it on the counter."
He nodded before almost exiting.
"Bro...you should get some rest..."
That was always like him, worrying about his big brother more than himself.
But I was hier and this empire was not built with catnaps.
I dialed in the leader of the small team I hired to keep an eye on Luke's number.
There was no place for small talk in this business. Wasted time costs lives.
"His dad dropped him at a friends but never picked him back up. He was never seen leaving the house for the duration of school time."
At least I knew where he was.
After this extraction, I would bring him in for some brief questions. Or so he would hope.
I didn't like how he treated Amber.
And he was bound to feel my wrath sometime soon.
Very soon.
