ISADORA'S POV

*Breakfast at Camille's*

"How was last night? Did you put a baby into Sophia?" I almost choke on my hot tea when I heard Camille's words. The servants who serving is were worried I might burn my tongue. I raised my hand to inform them that I am okay.

"I'm not sure. Why? Do you want to have another baby?" Camille chuckled.

"You should be focusing on Aphrodite and Cesaria. Cesaria might have some experience, but this is Aphrodite's first pregnancy. She might be worried about silly things. Anyway, since we're here, I would like to ask you about Octavia. You haven't been in an intimate relationship with Octavia, right?" I nodded.

I am the type of person who hates to force myself to someone. Seeing how scared Octavia was made me realized that she's different than the rest. That woman respects me, and I don't want to lose that respect just for sex.

"How do you plan to handle her?" I wonder why Camille asked me this. Seeing how the servants are keeping their ears open, I ordered them to let us be alone.

"I don't plan on forcing her to accept her duty. She's a queen regnant, and I respect her as a woman first and foremost. About her kingdom, I'm planning to help her by showing my support. That should be enough to make the current ruler bow his head to Octavia. What do you think?" Camille thinks for a moment.

"Mom-," Harris immediately bow when he saw me sitting in front of his mother.

"I'm sorry, your highness. I didn't notice that you're here." It seems like Harris needs his mother.

"Should I leave you two?" I asked my wife. Camille shakes her head no.

"You're his mother as well. Stay." My wife turned to face her son.

"What is it, Harris? Why are you looking for me?" Harris explained to us about his visit.

"So, you want to take over the duchy? But you're only 15 years old. Do you think you can do it? Is it because of Anastasia?" Harris sighed.

"Mom, I want to show her that I'm not someone who expects everything to come in my way just because my mother is the empress. Her words wounded me, and I'm determined to be more than someone who can use a sword. I love this woman." Camille looked at me with worried looks. I understand why she's concerned because we haven't solved the duchy matter yet.

Camille is worried about her son's safety.

"Should we inform queen dowager Pandora? If Harris wants to take over the duchy, he needs to be ready. I can't think of another person that will be a great guardian other than Pandora. What do you think, Camille?" My wife, we're astonished.

"You want our little boy to leave our side?! Are you mad?" Camille is genuinely worried for her son, but I know deep down that Harris needs to get himself ready to take over the duchy. He is 15 years old now and never had proper lessons about how to care for a duchy yet.

"Harris needs to get himself expose about the duchy matter. Sure, you're now in charge of the duchy, but our eldest son is going to turn 18 soon. It's time for him to gain some experience. Pandora will be there to keep an eye on him and also be his guidance. I don't see the problem?" Camille sighed while I gave Harris a wink.

"You should leave while I talk to your mother." Harris smiled before bowing at us.

"Thank you, mother Isadora." Harris excuses himself. To be honest. I am scared to face Camille right now, but I keep a smile on my face.

"What is wrong with you?! You're well aware of the real situation in the duchy. They're all waiting to kill me! Do I need to remind you that my family is trying to take over the duchy from me? They're spreading propaganda that the duchy belongs to them, and I am not even their real daughter. Harris will not be able to fend for himself. Even if Pandora's protection, they will find some other way." Camille said that while hitting my shoulder. I can feel that my shoulder is going to get bruise now.
