Charlie heard the doorknob turn. The door opened slowly to reveal their visitor.

Lucifer stepped into the room, his mouth agape in horror. "Charlotte...what-what happened?" He slowly walked to her and hugged her. "This is all my fault...I'm so sorry..." Charlie heard a low growl from Alastor. Her father looked to him.

"And Alastor," He composed himself and held out a hand for the demon to shake. "I am so sorry for everything I have done. If it weren't for you, my daughter would not be alive." Charlie heard the genuine crack in his voice, as if he himself was close to tears.

Alastor stood from the bed and glared at him. The deer demon was at least a few inches taller, gaining him an advantage. Staring dead in his eyes, he shook the fallen angel's hand. He yanked him forward suddenly, causing Lucifer to lose his balance.

"I want you to make a deal with me. If you swear by the Nine Circles you will never, EVER, do anything to hurt Charlie again, I might consider letting you keep your head. Am I clear?" Charlie was afraid he would lose control again, and pulled his attention. "Al, it wasn't his fault. He was being possessed."

Alastor gave her a defiant look. "Possessed or not, he will suffer if he so much as hurts your feelings." He had now gripped Lucifer by his collar, bringing him to his eye level. "Mr. Magne, AM I CLEAR?" The angel nodded furiously. "Wonderful."

The demon dropped Lucifer and resumed his smile. Lucifer stood beside Charlie and asked how everything had happened. "Well...do you want the whole story, or the most recent part? Because trust me, it's one hell of a story." "I want to hear everything, from start to finish."

"...And I found him under my bed! He was sneezing up a storm, he could be heard from a mile away!" Charlie giggled, yet she stopped when she noticed Alastor's uncomfortable grin. "Anyway, I pulled him out and...well..." The princess felt her face flush red. "We kinda...realized how much we liked each other."

Lucifer smiled, but she could see he wasn't very happy about his daughter loving the Radio Demon. "Dad, what's wrong?" "Nothing, sweetheart. You just grew too fast for me, that's all." He planted a kiss on her forehead and asked her to continue. "And then we had an epic fight, and my brains got scrambled."

"I didn't know where I was, I didn't even recognize Alastor. Monster blew me a good one, amirite?" Charlie playfully elbowed the demon beside her, he responded with a long stare. "It is not funny." He looked away, his smile fading.
