Charlie felt herself dozing off. Yes, she needed sleep. And Alastor, strangely, was the perfect pillow. She felt the rise and fall of his chest with every breath, the steady beating of his heart. Who knew a dead man could feel so living?

"So, where were y'all headin' anyways? You just...disappeared." Angel Dust chimed in. Alastor thought for a moment, concluding with a nod. "Charlie told me of 'The Dead Zone'. She said the place was calm and quiet, just what the doctor ordered."

Alastor gripped her arm slightly. "I do wish we had been able to go. Yet we had run into some...trouble." Vaggie raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean, trouble?" "Charlie didn't say? I had been possessed by Desire at one point. Although, I'm sure she doesn't want to talk about it."

Charlie nodded lazily. "Then it is settled. We are not to talk of any events that occurred today." Alastor stated. Charlie yawned and sat up. "Not all of it was bad. We did karaoke, and we made some new friends, learned a thing or two...yeah, it wasn't that bad."

"What songs did you guys sing? I hope it wasn't something gushy like 'Can't Help Falling In Love With You'." Angel butted in. "No, we did Fireflies. Then we..." Charlie trailed off, remembering the moment they had shared.

The other demons waited, expectant of this supposedly secret information. "Then you...what?" Charlie felt herself blushing, Alastor held her closer. "We...uh..." "Oooh, don't tell me-you did a little tomfoolery!" Angel blurted.

"What? No! We...um..." Charlie looked to her feet, the bridge of her nose exposing how flustered she was. "We kissed. She didn't already tell you this?" Alastor tilted his head to the side in confusion. "No, she didn't. Why is that...why is that so embarrassing for you, Charlie?" The grey demon asked, curious.

The princess looked to her partner. His eyes were glowing, bathing her in gentle light. "I dunno, it's...complicated." Charlie recognized the surroundings through a car window, knowing they were almost to the hotel.

"I believe what she is trying to say is that it was a very personal moment. I myself had a hard time thinking afterwards. We are very tired, as you can see." Alastor concluded. Yawning, Charlie laid against his chest once more.

Vaggie smiled to her friend. "We're sorry for pushing. And besides, we are almost back to the hotel. You guys can go to sleep, I've got this hoar under control." "Hey! That's not nice!" the spider demon retorted. Flashing a middle finger, Angel stuck out his tongue in annoyance.
