Charlie felt a strange sensation in her chest as demons loomed above her. "Wha...what happened..?" She muttered. "You got lucky, your Highness."
She nodded and narrowed her tired eyes to block the blinding light. "We called the first contact on your list, and some guy named Dust answered. We asked if he knew you, and then told him the situation. I'm assuming he will be here soon."
"You somehow managed to pump anesthesia gas straight into your throat." "W-wait! I didn't do it!" Charlie explained. "There was this girl...long green hair..." She couldn't remember much of the demoness's features.
The police chief, a big demon with ram antlers to her left, looked up and nodded to a doctor beside him. The doctor nodded and ran off, disappearing around the bend. Turning back to her, he smiled softly. "We'll get the culprit as soon as possible. Was there any other information that could help us?"
"I think...I think she works for the...local police department..." Charlie managed. "Oh. That's...pretty disappointing, actually..." The chief sighed. He turned just in time to witness Alastor burst through the once locked door, using Angel Dust to knock down the heavy metal.
While Angel had broken teeth and clouded eyes, Alastor looked much worse. Charlie could tell he was exhausted and running on empty, but he still managed to muster enough strength to scare away the police and doctors.
He looked to her, and his fatigue was even more apparent. "Uhh...hi..." Charlie sheepishly waved. He seemed confused, but he waved a hand back to her. "Goodness gracious, you just can't seem to get out of trouble," Alastor spoke as he knelt down to her eye level.
"Ittil elp ere..?" Angel Dust whimpered from the floor, his missing teeth impairing his speech.
Vaggie ran in, panting. "Why the Hell does all this crazy shit happen to you?! God, can't you go for two fucking minutes without getting hurt in some form?!" She looked down at the spider demon and helped him up.
Alastor leered to her before returning to his lover. A sad look washed over his face, Charlie raised an eyebrow at the sudden shift in emotion.
"Friends, could you give us a moment?" He called to the other demons, never breaking his gaze on Charlie. Angel and Vaggie nodded, grumbling, and left the room reluctantly.
The blonde sat up and pushed hair out of her face. Alastor held her hand lovingly as he laid his head to the side, closing his eyes.
"Uh...is there something..."
Alastor was sound asleep.
