Healing refused to let go of Love as he pushed her. She was always so emotional, even if she seemed cold and hardened at times.
"No, no, you can't! There's...there's gotta be another way..." Stepping back, the small shadow looked up at him with pleading eyes.
"I'm sorry."
Love turned away and walked back to the Rip. He heard the cries of his brothers and sisters, but the ones that hurt most of all were the ones coming from the white and black creature in the middle.
Alastor and Charlie were never going to forgive him. No matter what he did to prove he wanted to change, he would end up being erased just like the rest of his kind.
His world was dying. So was he.
Love smelled the scent of sulfur and hate. He had gotten used to that smell, but it seemed to sting his senses more than ever now. Maybe the purity of his home had cleansed him.
The streets of Hell were busy and crowded, he found it difficult to keep his patience with the moronic demons. Love hurried on, trying to remember the way back to the hospital the princess had been staying at.
Slipping through security was easy; he went in undetected as he was invisible to those who weren't looking for him. Most demons didn't even know he existed.
He found himself at her door, he lifted a shaking hand and turned the knob.
The expression on her face went from surprise, realization, and ended with absolute horror.
"Wh-what the fuck?! What do you want?!" Love lowered his head, closing the door behind him. "Charlie, let me-"
A pillow being thrown into his face interrupted him. He gave her an annoyed look, but he kept back from her. "Can I speak now?" "Why the Hell should I let you speak?! You killed me for fuck's sake!"
Love sighed. "I know that...but I need your help." He noticed Charlie had her cellphone out. With a quick snap, it was reduced to phone parts. She let out a cry. "Your boyfriend can't know about this."
"You saw my home, correct?" He looked dead into her eyes. "You saw how my brothers and sisters are sick?" The princess stared back at him, her terror turning into concern. She knew those thoughts were good; if they were to disappear all dimensions would be in ruins.
Charlie nodded. "They...were afraid of me. And Healing, I think it was, said that they were all lost souls. But I didn't know they were sick..."
