Alastor couldn't think of a time when he was happier than now. Anything he had ever wanted was in his arms, the very embodiment of love. For him, Charlie was a beautiful moonbow, glowing in the darkness of the night and presenting it's colors in a unique way.

"Charlie, do you remember when you went on the news station and sang your lovely song about the Haz-I mean Happy Hotel?" Alastor corrected himself. He needed to change that sign back, her dream was not destined for failure as he had thought a week ago.

Charlie nodded. "Yeah, why?" "Well, you said 'inside of every demon is a rainbow'. I don't have a rainbow inside, darling. You are my rainbow." Charlie squeezed him tighter. "Aww, thanks Al," She said. "And you're my sweet Radio Demon." The princess smiled up at him, love and adoration filled her eyes.

A knock at their door startled them both. The doctor from before came in and stared at the two, still in a tight embrace. Smiling, she made her way to the opposite side of the bed. "Some pretty dramatic stuff happens in this hospital, love is not an uncommon thing to blossom." She flipped through several papers.

"Okay, your father heard you were here and wanted to see you. Would you mind if I brought him in?" Charlie gave Alastor a worried frown, but she nodded. "That's fine." "Perfect. I'll get him from the lobby." And with that the doctor left.

Alastor knew how painful this was going to be, meeting her father who had once abused both of them. He was used to the blood, used to the violence. Charlie, however, had never seen that twisted part of Lucifer. The fallen angel was, indeed, the Devil himself, and often had episodes of rage. He had just done a great job hiding it from his precious daughter.

The princess fell silent, deep in thought. "Charlie, you don't need to do this. Lucifer does not deserve to be forgiven. And I know you can see the best in the most gruesome creatures," He brought a hand to her cheek and gently pulled up. "But this, this is different. He hurt you, dear, and I could never look him in the eye and tell him all is well."

Charlie began to cry. "Why does this keep happening? Can we never catch a goddamn break?" Alastor hugged her tight, attempting to help ease her pain. "We will, love. We will."
