"which friend?" jeongwoo tilted his head slightly to the side, asking as if he met a lot of his friends when in fact, he knew no one.
he still doesn't know anything about him that much, except by the fact that he's rich and that he had a twisted relationship with his parents, relatives, and business.
haruto looked at him, struggling to answer his one question. but putting up his facade once again, he isn't backing down from him.
"a friend of mine, we're classmates," haruto answered, trying to sound as if it was casual.
was jeongwoo supposed to believe? he isn't dense enough and notice the obvious hesitation and discomfort coming from him.
being with him from time to time and observing his typical actions made it easy enough to notice the change.
but seeing how he's probably the reason why haruto is acting strange, or maybe his queries, jeongwoo decided to shrug everything off and just let it slide.
he couldn't waste any time lingering around him and dig deeper to the situation. when in truth, he was in a hurry, reminding himself why he came to the hospital early.
and so the tanned male excused himself, turning around before haruto could even say anything in regards to his goodbyes.
but being the haruto he is, finding his departure quite odd and early, haruto couldn't help but question. "where are you going?"
jeongwoo paused his walking, turning around to face the male and answer his question to avoid any followed hindrances coming from the other's curiosity. "i am visiting my mother, why?"
haruto pressed his lips into a thin line, scartching his head while looking around in search for his answer. and jeongwoo waited, in tried patience, considering that it was his turn to ask a question.
after a few moments of silence, haruto finally opened his mouth to answer and utter something. he already had the answer inside his mind, but hesitated whether he should verbalize it out or not.
"i am curious. can i come with you then?"
upon hearing the taller male's question, it was now his turn to hesitate. he couldn't just say yes. if he would have to come with him, his mother might take it the wrong way. and he couldn't move around as much as he could if he comes along with him, that was the case.
but as he avert his gaze towards him, he could only see his eyes screaming in anticipation, as if forcing him to just say yes. and oh, he couldn't just ignore and shrug it off anymore.
he could only see him being like that once in a while, and it was a scene that never fails him to disregard his opinions and agree with him instead; whether he was in the right or in the wrong.
heaving a sigh, jeongwoo made up his mind. he involuntarily nodded his head, it being expected enough especially when haruto is acting different from his typical demeanor.
as they traipse down the hallway, and taking the elevator once again, it didn't take a long time to arrive and standing right in front of his mother's room.
jeongwoo couldn't help but feel nervous once again, resting his hand on the doorknob, unable to have the courage to twist it open.
he prayed to the heavens that everything will be alright the moment they enter the room, hoping that his mother won't be nosy and ask who the hell is the man he's bringing inside the room.
he was supposed to be happy because he could finally see her again but the once happiness he felt was replaced with uneasiness and nervousness the moment he met haruto down the hallways just recently.
