"so, do you believe me?"
there's no way on earth jeongwoo could say yes. setting the pressure of haruto waiting right beside him as they parted away from each other's embrace, feeling cold and empty without haruto's embrace aside, jeongwoo felt convinced upon seeing haruto's different side just now.
and so with a nod, he shyly mumbled a small yes.
it then occured to him that haruto indeed like him, and he felt the same way as him. the person he liked ever since high school until college and this time, with him liking him back.
it felt so surreal, for haruto to like someone so unlabeled and low on status. just what will happen if they continue to date for real?
they sat there in silence, looking beyond the seemingly endless calm sea that never fails to intrigue them.
just as when jeongwoo opened his mouth to say something, he heard a shuffling noise beside him before seeing haruto taking out something from his pockets.
only to realize that it was the bracelet he's been wanting to buy ever since they stepped on the stalls a few minutes ago. he wondered why it was now on haruto's hands.
did he liked the bracelet too or did he saw him staring at it with the greatest desire to make it his? nonetheless, jeongwoo shot up to look at him in confusion.
"that bracelet.." jeongwoo pointed at haruto's palm, trying not to sound so interested especially now that he didn't buy only one— he bought two of them.
he couldn't help but feel amaze by the fact that he can acquire it so easy now that he has money more than him. "you bought it, right?"
haruto flashed him a small smile before taking his wrist, making him wear the other bracelet before wearing his. and this made jeongwoo even more puzzled, it was for him all along?
"let this be a reminder that i'll try my best to court you until you're officially mine."
jeongwoo couldn't help but blush at his statement. he's been so red all this time but with the help of the dim light of the crescent moon, it wasn't as visible as it is.
but he knew haruto probably heard the loud beats of his heart that continues to resonate and remind the other that it only beats that fast for him.
couple bracelets, huh? who knew haruto could be this so prepared and extravagant when he likes someone? he still couldn't accept that it was him who caught his attention, just when he was chasing him all this time.
since it was getting cold and the sea breeze brushed through their skins more than usual, haruto stood up and offered his hand to the other to help him stand as they head towards the cabin.
jeongwoo insisted on not to join the party for now, feeling quite tired from the roller coaster ride of emotions even just by sitting there and talking with haruto.
he knew it was time to sleep. who knows, maybe everything is just a dream he doesn't want to wake up of?
haruto held his hand as they made their way towards the cabin. holding hands seems to be normal for the other now, and jeongwoo doesn't feel the same awkward and tense feeling everytime haruto tries to share his warmth.
they each took a shower before flopping to the comfortable bed, body faced upwards as the ceiling greeted them.
"what's your plan, jeongwoo?" haruto started the conversation, not taking a look at the other as he continued to stare upwards.
jeongwoo was caught off guard by the sudden question. the thought never actually bothered him—he was way too occupied with the present other than what's ahead of them. and now that he thinks of it, being with someone like him was never the best match.
