{Thomas's POV}

I blinked open my eyes as I heard my alarm go off, I rubbed my eyes then grabbed my phone, unplugging it as I dismissed the alarm. I went to sit up but quickly realized that Alex was laid with his head on my chest and arm wrapped around me, I let out a small chuckle then lightly shook him, causing him to stir.

"Hey Lexi, time to wake up," I murmured.

I heard him groan, but he did blink his eyes, moving slightly, "Why do mornings have to exist?"

"Because of the sun and earth rotations." I replied, sitting up slowly so he too could sit up, "I'll go make coffee, you get dressed and you'll have a mug waiting for you downstairs, black to match your bitterness towards the morning." I teased him, standing up, grabbing a hold of his hands for a moment to pull him to his feet.

I chuckled at his tired groan, then watched him walk to the closet, before I exited the room, closing the door behind me, heading down the stairs, I was trying to be quiet seeing as it was only about five-thirty in the morning. Avoiding bumping into things or knocking stuff off counters, I reached the coffee machine and got everything set up to brew coffee, and after I did so, I grabbed a mug out of the cabinet and set it in the slot, filling it with coffee, then after a moment I got myself a mug and put a little coffee in it, however, I added creamer and drank it quickly.

After I put my empty mug in the sink, I grabbed Alex's and made my way back up the stairs, knocking on the bedroom door and waiting till I heard him say I could come in, pushing the door open. When I did I saw Alex wearing one of my t-shirts, some jeans, his green hoodie, and his old tennis shoes.

"Still stealing my clothes I see," I commented, handing him the mug.

He took a sip, then looked up at me, "Always." He smirked, "Alright, get dressed, I'll take the suitcase down." I watched him grab our shared suitcase and wheel it out of the room, leaving me alone to get dressed.

I would steal one of his shirts like he stole mine, but unfortunately, he was ridiculously short and his shirts would never fit me no matter what I tried, so that was a one-way thing. I got dressed and then grabbed our small carry-on bags, then made sure that I had our tickets.

Once I got downstairs to where Alex was I check with him to make sure that he had everything that he needed, "Okay, I'm ready to deal with a whole week of bragging."

"Good." He replied with a small smirk, "Because that's exactly what this entire week is going to be."

I breathed out a chuckle, then headed outside with him. I helped him with getting our stuff into the back, then we both got in, our hands quickly being laced together, elbows rested on the middle console. I'm almost positive that he'd curl up next to me and fallen asleep on my shoulder as I drove us to the airport, but alas, the dreaded middle console sat between us and prevented this from happening.

"Ugh, we should've just packed your coffee machine, I need to be awake to brag and tease until you've regretted ever even kissing me."

This obviously had me laughing, "I know coffee flows through your veins instead of blood, but I'm sure we can get you coffee while we're there, there's no way an addiction as strong as yours just started when you moved to America."

"... Shut up, I'm tired."

It felt like a long process, but eventually, we'd arrived at the airport, checked our bags in, gotten through security, and managed to board our plane without much worry. Alex had taken the middle seat, simply because he didn't really want to look out the window at all, planes slightly freaked him out, but then again if I'd been through as many traumatic things as him, I'd probably assume the worst and get a bit freaked out myself.

I held my hand out for him, which he quickly took, turning his attention away from the stranger sat next to him, "Tommy?"

"Yeah? What's up Lexi?"

"Nothing's going to-" He quickly moved from holding my hand to my arm when the engine rumbled and the plane tilted backward as it took off, he waited until the plane leveled out a little bit, then he managed to actually ask his question, "... Nothing's going to happen, right?"

"Course not, Lex. I'm here with you, and we'll be fine, okay?" I replied, brushing a strand of hair out of his face, kissing him on the forehead, "I would fight the world before you would end up in another terrible situation, don't worry about it."

He nodded, my words seemed to calm his nerves, that is until we both heard a scoff and turned to look at the stranger who was sat beside Alex.

"Of all seats I could end up in, I end up next to a couple of fa-" Alex was quick to gain a sharp glare and cut the woman off.

"I don't think you want to finish that sentence."

"Maybe I do. People like you are a disgrace to society."

"You say that, but I don't think you quite know what that means," He snarled, "you say that We are the disgrace, but we're the ones minding our own business, my boyfriend is only helping me because he knows I am a fucked up mess when I'm anxious, we were doing nothing to warrant a comment, we're just living our lives, loving who we want. You, however? You see two guys, sharing a kiss or a reassuring comment, and you feel the need to add in your two cents, complaining about the fact that they're together, but maybe you're just worried that if us younger people are pushing this crazy thing called acceptance, then maybe all the guys in your general age group will realize that they're flexible enough to easily prefer their fellow men over a shallow stingy hag-like yourself."

My eyes widened at these comments, the woman's face was priceless, she looked so pissed off and called out, it was amazing, "Holy shit, I knew there was a reason I loved you, Lex." I managed to get out through held-back laughter. I highly doubted we'd be having more comments from her for the rest of the flight.
