"Why are you looking at me like that again?" Youngjae grumbled as he tried to focus on the papers he had to sign.

You've sat in front of him for the past hour, looking at him bright eyes and big smile. He could never get used to your undivided attention.

"Isn't about time you go home? It's getting late."

You shook your head. "I'll wait for you!"

"I told you, it might take a while for me to get done since I was on leave yesterday to take Coco to the vet."

"You should invite me next time so you won't get bored waiting alone for her checkup to be done."

"I guess. But hey-that's not the point of what I'm saying."

You grinned at him again.

Youngjae could only sigh. You were such a distraction. He could never understand how you find distracting him fun. He's just your co-worker. He does basically the same thing as you. But you would stay late nights to watch him finish his job.

And that smile. Do your cheeks not get tired smiling like that all the time?

"Again, what do you want? Why are you still waiting for me this late?"

"Because I like you."

Youngjae dropped his pen.

It's not the first time you told him that with not much emotions, as if you're just saying the moon is up the sky or the room is getting colder with only the two of you remaining in the office. But he would get flustered everytime.

"Stop saying you like me," he muttered while picking up his pen from the floor.

"Why? It's true."

"How could it be true when you say it so nonchalantly?"

"How else am I supposed to say it?"

Youngjae isn't very romantic. If anything, his friends would call him gloomy. He's ignorant when it comes to love, brushing off his hunches so people would have to tell him straight if they see him as something else.

And there you were, going straight to the target. Youngjae just couldn't wrap his mind around it.

"I like you," you repeated with a smile while looking in his eyes.

"Stop it."

"I like you!" you said much louder now, face like sunrise.

"I said stop."

"I really like you, Choi Youngjae!"

"No. You don't. Stop it."

Instead of getting discouraged, you grinned again. Youngjae mentally slapped himself for fueling you with his blushing face. He could feel his head about to explode.

"If you don't believe my words, would you like me to show you that I like you instead?"

Youngjae could not trust your face. "What are you planning now?"

"Just trust me! I won't do anything you don't like."

"How would you know what I do and don't like?"

"Good point," for once, sense knocked on your brain, "Then I'll apologize later if I read the signs wrong and it turned out that you don't like it."

Youngjae's instincts said it's a bad idea.

"Close your eyes," you said with that innocent expression Youngjae wouldn't bet his life on. "Come on. Do you really think that ill of me? I've never done anything to offend you, right?"

You had a point.

With a sharp intake of breath, Youngjae closed his eyes. He knew what to expect. He's not that innocent. But he was still debating how he would react if you actually did it.

Oh God, you did. He felt something soft touched his lip briefly.

He forgot how to breathe.

"How's that?"

Youngjae opened his eyes, horrified. "Why would our first kiss be just like that?! I-"

You were staring at him with questioning eyes. This time, you really seemed innocent. Youngjae then noticed your hand just in front of him, your index and middle fingers stuck together.

Wait.

"Did you hope I will kiss you?"

Choi Youngjae just wanted to teleport home.

"I'm done. Get up and let's go home."

He could hear your laughter as he quickly put his things in his bag, not minding how disheveled they get.

"Hey, you didn't answer me. You thought I kissed you? So you wanted to kiss me then?"

"It's your fault! You made me close my eyes and you kept on telling me you liked me. How could I have known you're just going to touch my lips with your fingers?!" he put his bag on and started walking out. He could hear you following close behind.

"Who said I did that? Who said I used my fingers, huh?"

Youngjae would develop a breathing problem because of you. "But you were holding them up!"

"So I guess I don't have to apologize?"

Youngjae couldn't say anything.

He could only grab your hand and pulled you to walk faster, so he could walk you home like what he'd been doing whenever you stay late with him.

You read the sign right.
