It's dark. It has to be the next day by now. Brooklyn is asleep, her head slumped on her shoulder. She's going to wake up with a nasty pain in her neck.

Your legs are resting in her lap. There's a slight pain that shoots through you every time you hit a big bump.

Daniela: So, is it like, big?

You: It's decent, yeah. I went exploring a few years back around it. It's pretty nice to be honest.

Daniela: Awesome. What do you want to do to it?

You: We probably need to settle down first and strategize.

Daniela: Right... Just so you know, I've told everyone that I'm not their leader anymore.

You: Uh, ok.

Daniela: I didn't know if it was you in charge or someone else.

You: I'd say Clem and I can handle it. We'll still need some people to help us.

Daniela: Right, I'll do whatever you guys need.

Daniela's group was all in for the idea of merging with your group. They're all packing up and getting ready for the move, so Daniela took the liberty of driving you and Brooklyn home. She can plot out some things for her group and get to know everyone before her people show up.

Daniela: I can't wait to meet Clementine. Oh, and your daughter. It's going to be crazy.

You: Sure, if you say so.

Daniela: Oh, come on. I've heard so much about Clementine, and your daughter is your daughter.

You: You'll have to wait to meet them. I wanna say hi first.

Daniela: I get it.

You can see the town coming up. The small light of a campfire, and the silhouette of someone on guard atop a house.

Daniela: That's it?

You: Yep.

Daniela: They're not going to shoot us are they?

You: I hope not. That would suck.

You lean forward and shake Brooklyn a little. She jumps and almost swings her fist at you, but she stops herself.

Brooklyn: What?

You: We're home.

Brooklyn: Finally.

You watch in silence as you approach. Keeping an eye on whoever is atop the house. Once you're close enough, you lean forward and grab Daniela's arm.

You: Stop the car.

She listens and stops.

You: Come around and help me out please, Brooklyn.

Brooklyn: Yep.

She steps out of the car, closing the door behind her. You can hear her yelling to whoever is on watch.

Brooklyn: It's us!

She opens your door, grabs your crutches from the floor, and rests them on the side of the car.

Brooklyn: You should learn to do this yourself.

You: You don't want to help your friend?

Brooklyn: I want to sleep actually.

You: Well, this'll be the last time you have to help me for a while. Clementine will probably help me out from now on.

Brooklyn: Thank goodness.

You get on your feet and Brooklyn puts the crutches under your arms.
