You open the door and look inside. There's a light coming from somewhere. You can tell by the flickering that it's a candle. You walk in, trying to keep from making any noise. If they know you're here they could run, attack you, or get the whole town on you. Clementine stays behind you, following your movements. She's ready to help if you get into any trouble.

You round the corner and see a lantern on a table. There's no one there, but they were. Did they hide when they heard the car, or are they just away?

There's a notebook on the table. It's worn out and weathered to the point that you're curious whether they were able to write in it or not. You walk over and open it. The first page reads

"We found a nice young woman last week. We knocked her out and carried her back to camp. We couldn't bring all they way back here to clean her correctly so we had to do everything then and there. She would have fought back too much and messed everything up. Killing her there was the best option... Still wish we could have cleaned her a little better. But, she was good anyway.

Found an old man a day later. He didn't put up much of a fight. He seemed like he didn't remember much. Must have been suffering from Alzhiemers. Is that how you spell it? Ah, doesn't matter. We got him all the way back here by tricking him into believing we were his children. Old man was a first for me. I actually liked it quite a bit."

You: Hey Clem.

Clem: Yeah.

You: What do you get from this?

Clem: I don't know. They could have done a bunch of things to those people.

You: They seem to be recording everything in here. Maybe there's something about the boy we're after.

You flip to the last page and start reading.

"Billy is getting good with his bow. He shot a middle aged woman today. Right in the heart if you can believe it! I'm sure that'll make everything easier for us in the future.

Got ourselves a little boy today. His mother was crying and crying, saying she would kill us before we would take him. But once we see what we want. We take... We knocked her out and convinced him to come with us. Little ones are easy to get if they aren't raised right. Believe anything you tell him. Took about a week to get back home. It was well worth the wait."

You: There.

You point to the last entry.

Clem: He's been them for a while then.

You: Maybe. If he's not dead.

Clem: Let's look around, see if we can find him.

You: Let's stay together. These guys seem to be a bit hostile.

Clem: Alright. I say we check the basement first. There's nothing on this floor.

You: I'll go first.

You walk over to a door that's next to the table. It looks like it would lead to a basement. Granted, you don't even know if there is one. Clementine was probably just guessing.

You open it up, and sure enough there are stairs. There's another light at the bottom. They might be down there. The stairs are old, and you're scared that they're going to squeak. Spooking who you're after could turn out bad if you're unlucky. You reach the bottom without the stairs making any noise.

You: Fuck... I knew it.

You mutter. There's a man. He's standing next to a table. There's some blood stains around the room. There's instruments for cutting off limbs, belts to stop the bleeding, clamps, spare straps. You know what's happened here. It's fucking disgusting.
