Chapter 22 🔞

GARCETTI

Yoongi finds Garcetti eating lunch with his colleagues. "Shall I pull up a seat and Join you?"  Yoongi asks Garcetti as he pulls up a chair next to him.  Garcetti looks at his colleagues who is puzzled by Yoongi's presence. "Sure, why not." Garcetti gestures for Yoongi to sit down.  "Aren't you going to introduce me to your colleagues? Wait, don't tell me, they are Corrupt Agents Barlow, Hash, Wright, Paul, and this one has to be Kelly."  Garcetti looks at his agents and at Yoongi. "Let me guess Mr. Min, no one wants to sit at the table with you so you're here to make friends." The agents laugh. "One day you will amuse me, and I will laugh at your jokes. You know the chicken here is the best chicken I've tasted since being here in the States."   Garcetti looks at the agents with an annoyed look on his face as Yoongi continues to speak. "Whatever you are thinking, If I were you, I wouldn't try it. You see the two waiters, the cashier, the cook, and the heavy presence of people just standing around, those are agents, true and ethical colleagues. The others at the table are looking around and notice that Yoongi is right.

"Well executed Yoongi." Garcetti acknowledges. Yoongi grabs the restaurant's TV remote. "What channel is CNN, wait its already on." Yoongi turns the volume up and stands up. "I may have fucked up your afternoon but enjoy the rest of your day and don't forget to tip the waiter." Garcetti looks from Yoongi to the TV. "BREAKING NEWS: BLAKE SMITH, WAS ARRESTED FOR FRAUD AND EMBELLZEMENT WHILE IN PRIVATE MEETING WITH BIG BANKERS."

Garcetti immediately phones Will Yung. "Do something damn it." He hangs up without letting Will Yung talk. Blake was arrested by the FBI after Jin left.  As Yoongi leaves Garcetti's table, Garcetti had made the phone call to Will Yung, not knowing that his phone was being wiretapped.  The phone call expose him to having knowledge of and having an association with Will Yung.  Garcetti and his agents are arrested. Yoongi walks over to Garcetti after a handcuffed Garcetti is brought out of the restaurant. "Garcetti, you know why you're being arrested?" Garcetti looks at Yoongi with an emotionless face. "Let me guess, I didn't tip the waiter."    "Ha-ha Mr. Garcetti, you see I finally got one of your jokes, it is funny, but what's actually funnier Mr. Garcetti, you gave the waiter a generous tip. You see when you called Mr. Yung, his device traced your call. "Fuck you." Garcetti tries unsuccessfully to raise his feet and kick Yoongi. "Bye Mr. Garcetti." Yoongi says as he walks away untouched.

WILL YUNG 

Will Yung hung up his phone after talking with his lawyers. He continued watching the split screen on his TV. One with the breaking news of Blake Smith's arrest, and the other showing his stocks and investments crashing. He laid his head back on his chair and tried to think. His thoughts were interrupted by his phone ringing. "Garcetti?" Will asked "Do something Damn it."  

Will was about to respond when Garcetti hung up. He continued watching his world crumble and his phone continues to ring with investors and stock holders. The voices from the TV starts blaring his name, Mr. Will Yung, Blake Smith, and now Mr. Garcetti. He looks around at his office and walks to the window. He sees the Seoul's prosecuting officers walking into his building. The anxiety of stress caused him to have a heart attack. They find him dead slumped over a chair next to the window.

News quickly surfaces that Will Yung, the famous banker, died of a heart attack. Jin and Yoongi are eating dinner when they received the news. "It's not the outcome you expected." Yoongi tells Jin. "I'm not complaining." Jin says without any emotions.  "That makes two of us."    "Yoongi, thanks for the help. I wouldn't be here in a better position if not for you."  "No problem my friend.  Jin, you keep me on my toes.  How you think I got to where I am." Yoongi pats Jin on the back. "By the way, I was going to leave out with you, but I have an early flight out for tomorrow. I have unfinished business in the UK. So please forgive me for retiring so early. I will see you when I return to Seoul."    "Very Well Yoongi. Thanks friend." They shake hands and Yoongi retires for the evening. Jin phone rings.
