"Daddy, I also want to taste coffee!"
"You're still a child, Xavier. It's not good for you."
"But I want…"
"You'll drink one soon. Have your fresh milk now or take the juice from the refrigerator."
"Daddy—"
"No."
Xerxes and Xavier's voices were the firsts I heard as soon as I arrived at the dining. I actually woke up a bit late and noticed that the two were already gone from the bed when I opened my eyes so right after taking a cold shower, I went downstairs heading here where they are currently arguing.
"Mommy, good morning!" Xavier went down from the chair when he saw me. He pulled the hem of my shirt, signalling me to bend down a little so that I could meet his height. He leaned over and whispered to my ear, "Mommy, tell daddy I'm going to drink coffee."
"Kid, I already said no," Xerxes spoke.
"Argh!" Xavier stomped his feet in frustration and he went back to his chair, leaving me giggling at his reaction. He crossed his arms and looked at his plate with a frown. "I hate daddy now!"
"Really, Xavier?" Xerxes asked seriously.
"No!" agad na bawi ni Xavier. "You're still taking me to the carnival, please don't get angry now," natatakot na pahayag ni Xavier. Little did he know that Xerxes was making fun of him based on his expression, he's holding his laughter from breaking through his blank face.
I walked near the dining table and was about to sit beside Xavier when Xerxes suddenly held my hand. "Sit here," he pointed at the other chair. The one beside him.
The dining table was made out of glass, it's in a rectangular shape and Xerxes is the one seated at the center with Xavier on the other side. Doon ako dumiretso sa isang upuan na katabi ng kay Xavier pero mukhang ang gusto pa ata ni Xerxes na doon ako sa kabilang banda.
"Xavier, I'll be mad at you if you don't make mommy sit beside me," Xerxes threatened our son when he noticed I wasn't moving.
"Mommy, sit there! I want to see the carnival so don't make daddy angry!" Xavier told me and even pushed me lightly as if I'm some kind of a bad person.
Jeez, Xerxes is using our son against me!
I glared at Xerxes and he just smirked while enjoying his breakfast. I sat down beside him and grabbed the fork and knife. I didn't have to take my own food because there's already some on one plate and he placed it in front of me together with the coffee he made.
"That's too many," I told him while looking at the amount of garlic rice.
"The place doesn't offer food so it's going to be better if you eat heavy breakfast," he replied. I just nodded and started to suit myself with what he cooked for the three of us.
"I missed your food," I commented out of nowhere, eyes closed while savoring its taste.
I heard him chuckle. "Baby, you just ate me recently and you already missed it?"
