— THIS WAS AN UNUSUAL SCENE. Mio's lips formed a nervous smile as 3 pairs of eyes fell onto her figure. The oldest of the trio pulled his eyes away from the mysterious girl and worked on persuading Hanabusa to join their research program. Ignoring Mio, Hanabusa went back to tiredly dismissing the proposals coming from the college recruiters. 

The younger male of the college recruiters stared at the lavender-haired girl, his eyes studying her. Mio changed her weight from her left leg onto her right leg as the stare from the younger male penetrated her body. His eyes roamed her body before they settled on her face and studied her characteristics. 

He cleared his throat and looked away from Mio as soon as she stared into his eyes. "Aido, we can use someone as talented as you in our research program." The older male pleaded. 

"No," Mio grimaced at the unsympathetic tone Hanabusa spoke in. Hanabusa raised an eyebrow in Mio's direction before his eyes sparkled. "I'm sorry but I think it's time for you to leave. My puny friend has been waiting on the sidelines for quite some time and we have important matters to discuss!" His blonde hair bounced as he excitedly got up and started to push the recruiters towards the door. 

"Wait, Aido-" 

"I've already said no. Have a good day!" Hanabusa gave the recruiters one last smile and slammed the doors in their faces. In the security of the moon dorm's privacy, he let his smile fall and groan in annoyance. 

Hanabusa's blue eyes darted to sherbet pink eyes with a bewildered stare. "What are you doing here?" He inquired, putting the recent event at the back of his subconscious. 

"Um, I'm here to see. . . Kaname?" She said, hesitant. She wasn't sure if the person she should discuss Zero's situation with is Kaname or Yuki. She was aware Kaname was the President of the Moon Dorms but Yuki also held power. 

Hanabusa raised an eyebrow at Mio's hesitation. He shook his head and indicated her to follow him. Hanabusa constantly looked behind him, making sure Mio was behind him. Her footsteps were graceful and very careful to not disrupt anyone's sleep, he couldn't hear them. Her heart was beating slowly and Hanabusa swore it stopped beating for a few seconds. 

Reaching the top of the stairways, Hanabusa spun around and faced Mio with an innocent grin on his face. Seeing his expression, Mio felt goosebumps. Hanabusa may be smiling at her but his eyes were only shining with plans. 

Not removing her eyes from Hanabusa, she grabbed onto the metal rail and slowly started to walk down the stairs. 

"I'm curious about something. A few days ago, the smell of fresh human blood drifted through the academy. Naturally, every vampire got excited." 

Mio gulped and continued to move back as Hanabusa stalked towards her. 

"No one knew who it was. After a while, President Kaname came into the classroom and calmed everyone down. I knew who the blood belonged to and so does Akatsuki. It was yours. Who are you giving your blood to?" 

Mio scoffed and stood straighter. "It wouldn't be your business," 

Hanabusa created a noise of disbelief. "I wonder why he is smitten with you? What makes you special?" Hanabusa didn't have to say Kaname's name. It was obvious who Hanabusa was talking about.
