|Chapter 14|

"I'm Chinlie Jane Caballes, student from Chemical Engineering and this is Nicholas Kairo Sevadero my partner for this presentation." I introduced and smiled to them. "We're assigned to present and give you basic information of being an Engineer, my fellow Senior high school students." I added.

"So I know that mostly from students in STEM or Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathemathics strand will take this course so I'm saying God bless and best luck to those who are willing to be a Chemical Engineer in the near future!"

Coz nothing is permanent."

"So here it is, I know mostly of you are confused between chemist and chemical engineers.

"Chemist are concerned with developing materials and processes on a small scale, often in an academic or theoritical practice. Chemistry is a pure science and will involve lots of laboratory work." I said, buti na lang at napag-aralan ko na kaya hindi ko na kailangan tumingin sa slide.

"In the other hand, chemical engineers work with the same materials or processes, but will transform them into industry and find practical applications in the real world. Moreover, chemical engineers will be trained on industiral equipment and technology, spending much more time in the field." I added and then Kairo continued to present.

"Chemical engineering graduates are hot prospects for organizations all around the world, ranging from the biggest private sector companies. Even outside the sector, engineers range of talents and specialized skills will stand them in good stead for applying to a well-paid jobs in a wide range of industries." Kairo confidentally said in the other side.

I can see the willingness of some students specially to those in STEM strand while others are nearly to sleep because of boredom.

"So, what's it like to study chemical engineering?"

"In studying chemical engineering, you'll spend around 20 hours per week in lectures or laboratories during your degree. Chemical engineering will also introduce you to many subjects, topics and principles. If you're taking advantage of industry placement oppurtunity in chemical engineering degrees, be prepared to work 40 hour in a weeks." I said and then stop for a while.

"Yes you will think it as a difficult course, but who says not right? Every course is difficult but it's up to you if how you will handle every hindrance or problem you will face through the years. Isipin mo 'yung sinimulan mo para matapos mo, don't put too much pressure in yourself."
