Alunsina's POV

"I saw the headlines. Is it true?"

I bit my lip as I heard my Dad asked that while he is on the other line. Heto na nga ba ang kinakatakutan ko!

"Uh.." I gulped because I was too nervous! I don't know what to say.

"(I won't get mad,)" he chuckled. Naka-Face time call kami ngayon. "(Here's your Mom, go talk to her,)" he then handed his phone to my Mom who's smiling from ear to ear already. I bet she would scream..

"(Alunsina! Oh my god!)" she exclaimed. Agad kong inilayo ang phone ko mula sa mukha ko.

"Yes po?" I bit my lip again as I walk back and forth inside my office. I am currently waiting for Xavia to tell me that Clyde is here already. And to be honest, kanina pa ako kinakabahan.

Ngayon na kasi siya officially na lilipat ng office.

My Dad said it wasn't really necessary for him to stay here. Talagang mapilit lang daw si Mom. Ugh. Araw-araw daw siyang kinukulit na sabihin kay Clyde na rito na sa office ko manatili habang hindi pa natatapos ang project namin. I don't even know kung bakit kailangan pang dito mag-stay si Clyde. Oh well, my Mom and her crazy ideas.

It was written in the contract kaya wala na sigurong nagawa si Clyde. I don't know kung napilitan lang ba siya or what.

"(The headlines! Omg! True ba'yun?!)" she exclaimed, again. Mahina akong natawa. I guess my annoying and loud voice really do came from her.

"I am single," I chuckled. "Ma-issue lang po talaga ang mga tao ngayon,"

At tsaka.. may girlfriend na si Clyde.

"(Weh? True ba?)" she asked again, obviously teasing me.

"Yeah, whatevs," I chuckled. "He's on his way here na nga pala. What should I do?" I asked her as I stopped walking and I looked at myself in a mirror.

"(Anong what should you do ka riyan?)" she raised a brow. Napatingin naman ako sa wrist watch ko. It's already 12 noon and hindi pa ako kumakain. "(Ayain mo maglunch! Start your day formally! And also, fix your makeup!)"

"W-what? Nakakahiya po!" I disagreed as I fixed my lipstick. Nagdalawang isip pa ako kung ano ang ayos na gagawin ko. "Oh gosh, do I look okay?" itinapat ko ang phone ko sa mukha ko para makita niya ang makeup ko.

"(Ang chaka!)"

I glared at her as I watched her laugh. Is she really my Mom?

"(I'm just kidding,)" she chuckled. "(You look good, always!)" she showed her thumbs up.

"Aw, thanks, Mom,"

The door suddenly opened. It was Xavia.

And him.

He's here! He's freaking here! What do I do?!

"Oh gosh, Mom! He's here," I said in a very low voice. I don't want Clyde to know that my parents and I are talking about him! Another embarrassment na naman 'yun for me! Baka isipin pa niyang may gusto pa ako sa kaniya. Ew.

Dali-dali kong itinago sa bag ko ang lipstick at mirror ko. Duh, baka isipin ni Clyde na nag-aayos ako for him, noh! As if!

"(Oh my god! Nandun na raw si Clyde!)" she talked to Dad na siguro ay kanina pa nakikinig sa usapan namin. "(Hoy, act like a woman! 'Wag kang masyadong clumsy!)" she said again while pointing at me.

I don't know but Mom sounds so excited. Ano naman ba kung nandito si Clyde? He's just here for work.

And not for me.
