Ella POV
"And this one is called a macchiato." Auntie Rosé held it out for me to take a sip and I winced at the strong taste. So far, the latte was my favorite.
I saw my mommies walk into the house but froze when they saw us. "Rosé why does Ella have a coffee cup?" My mommy hissed at auntie who rolled her eyes.
"The kid feeds from humans yet coffee is bad for her?"
"She's two!" My mommy stormed over to us, plucking me into her arms and I smiled, leaning my head on her shoulder. "We were gone for ten minutes!"
"And she was thirsty! Problem solved, Jen." I looked over and saw there was still some of the latte left but mommy didn't let me reach for it as she passed me to my other mommy.
"Lisa get Ella ready for preschool please." I widened my eyes in fear, remembering how auntie Chu told me preschool was basically kid prison.
"NO!" I broke out of my mommies arms and raced out of the house, using my entire speed to get me as far out of Seoul as possible.
"Ella Kim! Back here this instant!" My mommy shouted from behind me but that made me run faster. Suddenly I felt myself being trapped in a bubble and before I could use my own magic, my mommy caught up to me.
"Ella! Why would you run away?! If someone saw you, you could've been taken! You know never to leave the house without someone."
"Don't make me go," I whined, throwing my arms around her long legs. "I don't want to go to prison! I didn't even get arrested, mommy!"
I thought she would get mad, but she surprised me by laughing. "Honey, preschool is just for you to be prepared around humans. When you're older, you'll have to go with us and we have faith you're ready. Not to mention, you'll be able to make friends."
"So.. I won't get handcuffs?" I peeled up at her and smiled when mommy kissed my head.
"Your teacher can't harm you okay? We wouldn't let anyone hurt you." She picked me up and held me to her. "No running away again okay?"
"Okay mommy. I'm sorry," I hugged her and remembered something. "I love you," I said in Thai, knowing that was where mommy was from.
I saw my mommy's eyes get shiny and frowned, I didn't want to make my mommy sad. "Mommy? Can we go get ice cream before preschool please?"
She nodded and I felt the wind fly past us as she ran us back towards the city. I really hoped I did well in school! I wanted to make my mommies happy!
We got to a shop and mommy set me down, "Remember, Ella. You're only two and no human toddler knows as many words as you okay?"
"Goo goo," I said sarcastically and she rolled her eyes. Just like Jennie I heard her mutter. "It's not my fault kids aren't as smart as me. Must suck."
We walked inside and the lady over the counter perked up when she saw my mommy. "H-Hi Lisa! Where's Jennie?"
"She's at home getting Ella's stuff ready for school. It's her first day."
"You excited, kiddo?" She leaned over the glass and I kept a straight face. She wasn't my family, I didn't have to smile for her. Only Chaeng can call me kiddo.
"She'll have a double scoop of milk ice cream." Mommy said as she pulled out money. The lady winked at my mom as she went to grab it and I had it!
"Mommy can I do it?" I whispered, holding my hand out for the money. Mommy nodded and handed me the cash. "Can you get the booth please?"
Mommy left to the booth and when the lady returned with my ice cream, I slid her the cash and beckoned her closer. She smiled at me, but as I passed her the money, I hissed, "Wink at her again and you'll regret it."
Her eyes widened in fear as I glared hard at her. "She's mine. And my mommies. Thanks for the ice cream Kate!" I said louder with a smile as I noticed mommy look over.
Kate gave a nervous smile as I took my ice cream and skipped over to the booth. I know I had a lot of room, but I refused to let the snake sneak a glance at my mommy so I sat in her lap as I ate my ice cream.
Lisa POV
After Ella had her ice cream, I took us back to our house so we could drive her to school. "Go say bye to your aunties and Chaeng," I gave Ella a nudge towards the house.
Jennie came out with her backpack as Ella ran in and I smirked at her, wrapping my arms around my wife. "You coached her well."
"What?"
I showed her what happened through our link and Jennie smirked, "That's definitely my daughter and she's definitely going to Everland now."
Ella came back out and skipped over to us so we could strap her in the car seat. Jennie held up her hand for a high five, "That's my girl."
Ella grinned as she gave a high five. "Should have seen how scared she got, mommy!" Jennie laughed as she climbed into the car and I shook my head at my girls.
I drove us to the school and I could sense Ella get nervous as we parked the car. "C-Can I do this next year? Please?"
"Baby you'll be fine, we made sure of it." Jennie smiled back at Ella. "You'll do great, hun."
"I... I don't want to kill someone." She lightly sobbed and I immediately jumped out of the car to run over to her door. I pulled her out of her car seat and kneeled in front of my daughter.
"Princess look at me." She peeked up and I felt my eyes go purple as I showed her the fun time she'll have, sure she'll be nervous but she would be picked up by noon, before she could get hungry.
Ella nodded, looking over at Jennie who had her backpack. She wiped her eyes and held out her hand for the backpack. "I want to get these next four hours over with."
That's definitely your kid I told Jennie and she smirked, shrugging her shoulders as she slid Ella's backpack on for her.
We each held her hand as we walked her to the class. The teacher, Mrs Jeon, was a kind woman around 30 who had an innocent mind and soul, I made sure of it when we interviewed for the school.
"Hi Ella! I'm Mrs Jeon, you can put the backpack in the cubby." She gestured to a cubby with Ella's name on it. Ella looked up at us and we gave her a nod.
"She'll be picked up at noon," Jennie told her and I watched as Ella glanced around at the other kids.
"Okay class, let's begin." Mrs Jeon said and Ella's eyes widened.
"Wait!" She ran to us and we both kneeled down as she hugged us. "I'll miss you, mommies."
"Go have fun, baby." Jennie kissed her head and we watched as she ran to her chair with her name tag on the table. She waved to us and we left.
I heard my phone go off and saw it was from Chaeng, "Hello?"
"You need to come home! Rosé is TRYING TO MURDER ME!"
