Celestial stayed quiet while Billie drives. She can't help but be a bit startled at what all just took place. Billie looked over at her every so often but Celestial never made eye contact.
Deep down she knows Billie would never hurt her but her mind wonders and thinks much different things. Celestial's anxiety spikes and she slightly tics, catching Billie's attention.
Billie also has tics but never really noticed Celestial's until now.
"Hey, I'm sorry if I scared you. I admit I was a little forceful and I am sorry. I read your letter and was scared for you and didn't know what else to do. I should've been more gentle and cautious. I'm so sorry." Billie says, gripping the steering wheel. "It's okay Bil, I forgive you but where are we going anyways?" Celestial asks, still looking down. "My family has a cabin up in the mountains so I figured why not put it to use for once. We rarely ever go, I haven't gone since I was like six. My parents use it more often though." Billie tells her.
Celestial's eyes light up, "We're going camping?!" She asks.
Billie nods her head yes and her friend squeals with excitement.
"Here, can you call my mom for me? She is in my contacts under, mom." Billie asks, handing her phone over to Celestial who then makes the call to Maggie and then hands the phone back to Billie.
"Hi mom! So, long story short I took Celestial for a little vacation and please what ever you do, don't tell her family." Billie tells her mom.
"Is everything okay? Are you guys safe?"Maggie asks.
"We are okay and safe but if you tell her family that might change. Celestial left a note that should be on the kitchen counter, read it and that should answer some questions for you." Billie explains to her mother.
"I'm reading it now. Do I need to contact the authorities?" Maggie asks while she reads.
"I'll talk to Celestial about it first but I got to go now. Don't do anything yet. Love you bye." Billie says
"Okay dear, keep me updated! Stay safe, love you, bye Billie." Maggie replies and then hangs up.
"Okay that's taken care of! Ready to have some fun?" Billie asks. Celestial's face beams with joy as she nods her head yes.
Billie parks the car and they both get out. Celestial runs around with such child like joy, Billie is so happy to see her best friend finally feel free. Although they are both a bit nervous for what the future holds, for now they can embrace freedom as much as possible .
