"Mom... Why doesn't Celestial talk?" Ten year old Billie asks Maggie.
"Oh there could be lots of reasons. Maybe she doesn't want to,maybe she can't, maybe she's scared?" Maggie tells her. Billie thinks about that for a second. She doesn't know why anyone could ever be afraid of talking. "Well... do you think she'll ever talk to me? I'm not scary.. am I?" Billie asks her mom. Maggie pulls Billie in for a hug,"No Billie, you aren't scary. Just be patient, give her some time. You are a good friend and I am sure she thinks so too."
Maggie and Patrick have been worried about the neighbor girl a crossed the road. They never see her parents and the energy over there is just so ominous. Cars will come and go from the driveway and sometimes Celestial goes with them. She always comes back with a bright new outfit so they just assume she goes to visit her grandparents. They couldn't be farther from the truth.
