Billie brushes her hand through her black hair with bright green roots. Celestial sits in front of her and Billie can't help but notice how stunning her friend is. They've grown up together and Billie has watched the shy little girl grow into a more outgoing beautiful woman.
"You don't have too if you don't want too" Billie says.
"I want to, I just.. I don't know how." Celestial tells Billie.
"Would you mind if.. I kissed you?" Billie asked.
Celestial shakes her head no.
"Use your words baby" Billie tells her
Celestial reply's, "Please kiss me."
Billie leans in and cups Celestial's face in her hand,stoking her cheek with her thumb. She tilts her head to the side and finally places her lips on the girl in front of her's.
The kiss is sweet and innocent, Billie pulls away and their foreheads touch. They both blush and giggle before Celestial grabs the back of Billie's neck and kisses her. Billie kisses back and with out breaking the kiss and goes to pull Celestial in to her lap.
She stops everything when she feels Celestial tense up.
"I'm sorry I got a little carried away." Billie tells her.
"It's okay, I just get nervous with stuff like that I guess." Celestial says.
Billie notices Celestial starting to cry,
"Can I hold you?" Billie asks.
Celestial nods her head, "yes please ." She tells her.
Billie wraps her arms around the girl and gently rubs her back while whispering, "it's okay, you're safe, no one is going to hurt you." to help calm her.
After a moment Celestial's breathing returns to its normal pattern, "Sorry for freaking out like that I didn't mean to... I don't know why, I just... I don't know...." She tells her.
"It's okay love, it's not your fault and you have no reason to apologize. I'm sorry if I overstepped a boundary." Billie tells her.
They sit there in silence again for a little bit while c
Celestial writes something. She hands the note to Billie
"You can say no. but I was wondering.
would you want to be my girlfriend. It's okay if you don't" the note reads. "I would be honored to be your girlfriend." Billie tells her.
The sun starts to set and they are both are visibly tired and they lay down.
Being the big spoon,Billie wraps her arms around her girlfriend and pulls her close. She brushes the hair out of Celestial's face and kisses the top of her head once more. "Thank you for being alive." Billie says. She doesn't know why but she just felt the need to say that. Celestial grabs Billie's hands around her waist, "thank you for giving me a reason." She sleepily says. Billie gently hums the tune of the song Medicine by Youth and they each drift into a calm and peaceful sleep.
