"Billie is going to need multiple rounds of chemo and most likely radiation treatment as well" The doctor tells Maggie and Patrick in a meeting discussing all their options.
"One of the many long lasting side effects is infertility so keep that in mind but it's better then going with out and sending her home on hospice."
Maggie and Patrick look at each other and then back at the doctor, "Well I suppose if she wanted children Celestial can always carry the baby." Patrick says
"Just do what ever needs to be done to make her okay again." Maggie agrees
"Okay, it's a good thing you got her in when you did. One more day and the outcome could've been much worse." The doctor tells them.
"Celestial actually was the one who noticed first, she texted me and told me to pick them up from Japan." Maggie tells the doctor.

"Listen, I know some people have their wrong beliefs about same sex couples and I don't know what yours are but all I can say it Billie lucked out with this one. I usually don't comment on people's relationships, especially to their parents but this is different. I've never seen anyone with a connection like them, I've never seen anyone's significant-other be as patient like Celestial is to Billie. Take care of that one, make her feel loved and appreciated. She's something special that's for sure."
"Oh we've definitely noticed and she doesn't go unappreciated." Patrick says.
"Anyways, back on to the treatment. Survival rate is up in the air but we will do everything we can" The Dr tells Maggie and Patrick

Back in Billie's hospital room a nurse brought in string for friendship bracelets and hair wraps. "You should put one in my hair before it all falls out." Billie says with much more energy then she had the other day.
"Aw just like you used to do to me when we where kids, expect I'm not going to basically rip your head off." Celestial laughs and starts setting out the different colors.
"I want pink and green and white." Billie says
"Gotcha!" Celestial tells Billie.
She starts making the hair wrap in Billie's black hair with green roots and Maggie and Patrick walk into the room.
"Aw this brings back so many memories of you two as kids!" Maggie tells them. She walks in closer and then says, "you know Celestial, I knew you had a gentle spirit when the little bird flew into your hand and just sat there."
Celestial smiles at that memory, "yeah and then Billie scared it off like the brute she is." She laughs
"Hey! I was excited okay!" Billie shouts and for a moment the room is filled with laughter just like nothing is wrong.
Lunch time rolls around and they all eat, well Billie tries too.
"I don't feel good." Billie says to Celestial
"I know bubs, try a few bites of crackers?" Celestial tells Billie.
Celestial gets up from her chair and sits on Billie's bed with her, "here"she says grabbing a bag from the bed-side dispenser, "I'm ready just in case."
Billie rolls her eyes and takes a bite of her cracker.
She eats around four crackers and as Celestial suspects, Billie starts to get sick again.
"Is she okay?" Maggie asks
Billie gives her mom a thumbs up to let her know she's used to it at this point.
Celestial takes her hand and helps Billie wipe her face off.
"Am I allowed to shower?" Billie asks.
Maggie says she'll ask someone and leaves the room for a second, she comes back and says it's okay.
One of the many nurses comes in to unhook Billie's IVs and brings her a wheelchair, "there is a shower chair in there do you need any help?" She asks
"I got Celestial so I think I'll be okay." Billie says.
Celestial helps Billie into the wheelchair and then takes her to the bathroom where there is a shower. She puts the chair into the shower and then helps Billie take off her hospital gown.
"Are you going to get in with me?" Billie asks, giving Celestial puppy-dog eyes.
"Of course I will." Celestial says and then gets undressed. She helps Billie sit on the shower chair and starts washing her hair for her.
She notices it's falling out a little bit and also how much weight Billie has lost recently.
"Is everything okay?" Billie asks, picking up on the vibes Celestial is giving off.
"I'm okay Billie, just worried but I'm okay." She says walking around to face Billie. Billie pats her lap, "sit." She says.
Celestial startles Billie and Billie cups her face with her hands.
"Everything is going to be okay, I'm not leaving you." Billie says.
"But how do you know?" Celestial asks, holding back so many tears.
"Shhh." Billie says and then places her lips on Celestial.
"I love you." Billie says into the kiss and then Celestial wraps her arms around Billie and hides her face in the crook of Billie's neck and kisses the side of Billie's neck, "I love you too."
Celestial says.
Billie misses the touch of their naked bodies together. She misses the feeling of Celestial's fingers inside of her but she doesn't have the energy for anything like that. So she just holds onto her beautiful girlfriend's waist and admires her.
"What is it?" Celestial asks
"Nothing." Billie says back smiling and then kissing Celestial's collar bone
"Billie... we can't do this here." Celestial tells Billie

"Why nottt?? I'm all wet and need you nowwww." Billie says probably to loudly

"Billie... you're in the shower of course your wet." Celestial jokes

"You know what I mean"
