When we fall apart

"Hi mom." Billie says face timing Maggie.
"Hey Billie, how is everything?" Maggie asks
"It's good, really good. I am going to marry the love of my life." Billie says
Maggie obviously shocked but happy congratulates her daughter.
"Things are so good, but at the same time.." Billie says and then starts to break down in tears that she's been trying to hold back, "they are good but I am so overwhelmed and tired. I miss you and dad and Finneas. I am so happy but something just feels off."
Billie takes her hand and wipes her face.
"Oh Billie, I wish I could wrap my arms around you and give you the biggest hug and tell you everything will be okay. What I can do is maybe set you up with a therapist here in the states and also find one for Celestial. You two are so young and have gone through so much, it would be a good idea." Maggie says.
"Thank you mom, that would be great. I better go." Billie says.
They say their goodbyes and Billie hangs up.
She sits there in her office chair and continues to cry. Her tourettes start to act up too.
Celestial hears Billie crying from inside the bathroom so she finishes up and goes to check on her.
"Billie?" Celestial whispers, peaking her head into the office.
"Hi baby!" Billie says, whipping her face and smiles.
"Billie baby, You don't have to pretend to be okay around me! What's wrong my love?" Celestial tells Billie. She goes and wraps Billie up into her arms, picking her up and carrying her over to their room where it's more comfortable.
Billie continues to silently cry.
So, Celestial takes Billie into her arms as they sit on their bed. "What's wrong bubs" Celestial asks Billie who is sitting in her lap.
"I don't know, I am just overwhelmed." Billie says, her head twitches to the side.
Celestial cups Billie's head in her hand and holds her close to her chest, kissing the top of her head.
"I know, it's a lot. I hope you realize that just because I have gone through a lot and struggle doesn't mean that you can't come to me when you do. I am your girlfriend, fiancé. I want to be here for you and help you. I want to listen to your worries and struggles. I love you Billie." Celestial says just loud enough for Billie to hear.
"Thank you. I love you too." Billie says holding onto celestial tighter, "don't leave me."
Celestial holds her back, "I won't, I never ever will leave you."

It doesn't take long for Celestial to notice that Billie has fallen asleep in her arms. She slowly moves positions so they can both be laying down. She kisses Billie's forehead and brushes her hands through Billie's hair and traces her back gently with her fingernails, humming little lullabies.
Billie is in a deep sleep so Celestial tries to slide out from underneath her but Billie just holds on tighter.
"Okay okay I'll stay." Celestial says out loud to herself.
It feels good to know that Billie needs her just as much as she needs Billie.
