Chapter 17

[Departure]

C A L A -

I opened the door of my home putting the box on top of my coffee table as I sat down on my couch. I look up the wall clock and it was already 1:30 pm so I stood up and went upstairs going inside of my room I saw my suitcase neatly placed beside my bed together with my sling bag on top of it.

I walk inside of my walk in closet changing into something much more comfortable clothes. I wore some white t-shirt with my hoodie on and some denim shorts. I lay myself comfortably on my bed looking up the ceiling as thoughts keeps on swimming on my head then it hit me I forgot to send the PS4 that Peter was asking for so I immediately took my phone out to look at the time.

I took my car keys and put on a mask before heading out. I went to the nearest store which is The Controller People. I parked my car as I went out with my wallet and phone. I scan the whole place as I saw a lot of tech shits. "Good afternoon ma'am may I ask what you are looking for?" a salesman ask me from behind me so I turned around to look at him. "Give me the newest PS4 that you have." I said as I look around. "Please give me a minute." and he left me to get what I ask for.

After a solid five minutes he came with a rectangular tall but not that tall box on his hands carrying it. "This is a newly arrived one. Are you going to get it?" he asks. "Yes." he guided to the counter. "Ma'am I suggest for you to buy some of PS4 disc that you can play on." he said taking the box on top of the counter. "Just give me everything and I'll take it all." I took my wallet getting some cash out.

After paying for it I took it all and put it inside of my car placing it at my passengers seat. I drive my way to the coffee shop feeling anxious that I might see Sienna there of course she's the manager. I parked my car and stayed inside of my car thinking of ways on how can I give this to Peter. I know that he's waiting for it since I promised to him. I took a deep breath before opening my car door. I put my mask again while straightening my hoodie up. I opened the passenger to take the things that I bought out.

I carry them all out on my arms the box with the PS4 on my right arm while the other medium sized box on my left arm carrying them all together. I pushed the door using my shoulders. There were not much of people inside so it's not that embarrassing carrying all this out. I saw Elle looking at me weirdly. I know she'll not know me since I'm wearing my hoodie and mask. I saw Sienna busy talking to some customer so I took the chance to go talk to Elle.

"Hey Elle." I called her out as she looks at me. "May I help you ma'am?" I laugh at her question. "Hey it's me Cala." I put the boxes on the counter. "Cala what are you doing here?" she asked loudly that caused for Sienna to look at us. I internally face palmed. "Look I'm just here to give this to Peter. Is he here?" I ask almost immediately since I don't want to stay here any longer or Sienna will snap at me again.

"He'll be here in five minutes." I look around and saw Sienna walking towards our way. "I need to go just give Peter this. Tell him that this was the present he was asking for yesterday." I hurriedly said. "At least wait for him here." I heard Sienna's voice from behind. I didn't dare to look at her. "Yeah Sienna's right wait for him he'll be here." I took a sit on one of the stools as take my phone out of my shorts.

"You look good in just casual clothes especially with your shorts." Elle complimented me with a little laugh. "Yeah yeah." I was busy with my phone when Elle tap my shoulders pointing at my side and I saw Peter on his uniform. "Peter." I called out standing up from my seat. "Ms. Suarez good afternoon" he politely greeted me. "Hey just call me Cala. I feel old if you'll keep calling me like that. By the way I brought your present so better finish your studies with flying colors." I pat his shoulder handing him the boxes. I saw the tears in his eyes that was falling. I took my hanker out of my shorts to dry his tears up.

After my emotional encounter with them I walk out of the shop to go back since I need to prepare also since I'll be departing three hours from now.

I was sitting on my couch since earlier that I arrive back home eating som pints of ice cream that was surprisingly inside of my freezer as I watch some series on my TV. I scoop some chocolate ice cream from the tub as I glued my eyes to the TV watching the series carefully. The series was like full of pain but full of lessons as well.

As the time passes by the more I am getting engrossed with the series. I heard someone knocking on my door so I put the second tub of ice cream down the coffee table as I stand up lazily to open the door. I saw Travis standing in front of me wearing some casual clothes with his phone on his hand. "Yah may I just remind you that you have a flight at 7:00 pm." he said while walking inside as I widen my eyes. I look at the wall clock as it was 6:15 pm already.

I cursed under my breath before storming up the stairs as I enter my room leaving the door open. "I'll put your suitcase on my car already." I heard Travis said as he walk towards the side of my bed carefully taking my suitcase with him. I just nod at him.

I took a quick shower after and rummage my closet that was still full of my clothes. I settled for a beige short sleeved dress shirt and white tight pants with my white shoes. I took my sling bag putting ny phone and wallet inside of it as I close the door of my room.

We arrived at the airport exactly before 7:00 pm as I breath heavily and stood straight catching my breath up. "I'll be visiting you on holidays and have a safe trip." Travis wave his hand to me. "Drive safely." I said back as we hug each other for the last time. I turned my back at him as clutch my sling bag. Bye Europe I'll be back.
