Chapter 13
Gaped
I got up from bed early the next morning as usual and since I felt thirsty as well. I went to the kitchen and walked like a zombie, half sleeping, and my eyes were half closing. The clock on the wall says it's still six in the morning. I lazily took a glass and filled it with cold water. But before I could drink, the doorbell rang. Sunod-sunod itong tumunog na parang nagmamadali.
I sighed and then put my glass of water on the table. "Damn Ion! I'm gonna punch your ass." I mumbled to myself. Ang aga naman nitong umuwi.
I quickly went out of the kitchen and then hurriedly opened the door to welcome Ion and not...
Shane.
Oh my gad! What is he doing here this freaking early?
"Hey, the gate was not locked kaya tumuloy na ako," he said. "Good morning by the way." He huskily added.
I looked at him and then at the slightly opened gate. Yeah, it was not locked. I stared at his face again for a while and suddenly I realized that he kinda sound familiar. I've noticed that his voice reminded me of someone...No!
"M-morning," I murmured.
I gaped out of his suddenness, still can't believe that he's here. Bigla kong naalala ang pagmumukha ko at mga sinabi ni Ion noong nakaraang umaga. Mabilis kong kinapa ang aking mukha checking any eye boogers. I'm sure I always woke up pretty pero nako-concious ako ngayon. Ang hangin! Oh my gad! Lalo na ang suot kong see-through nighties. I hastily fold my arms across my chest trying to hide whatever he might noticed. He chuckled on my sudden reactions.
"W-what.. why are you here?" I asked stuttering.
My heart skipped a bit when he walked closer to me. As usual, he was handsome while smiling widely. His green eyes fixated on me. His gaze made me feel like drowning in his eyes. He's in his business attire and he looked freaking hot. I just noticed that he looked good when dressed up formally.
Why the hell am I feeling this way?
"To fetch you," he answered.
I stared at him like he'd gone crazy or something. He'll fetch me this early? Is he for real? This is new. Or did we agree on something yesterday that I'd forgotten?
"May.. lakad ba tayo?" tanong ko. He chuckled saka umiling. Malagkit niyang sinulyapan ang damit ko bago tumingin sa mukha ko. Nako-concious tuloy ako. Alam kong naaaninag niya ang kaluluwa ko sa ilalim ng damit. Damn.
An idea suddenly popped up in my mind. I smirked. Taas noo ko siyang hinarap. Tinanggal ko ang mga kamay ko sa aking dibdib. Wala akong suot na bra kaya alam kong bumabakat ang dibdib ko sa aking damit. Now let see what you have got this morning.
"Then why are you here?" mataray kong tanong.
"To fetch you t-to work," he gulped then said stuttering.
I wanted to laugh at him for a moment pero pinipigilan ko lang. Halatang nababalisa siya sa suot ko. But I honestly felt uneasy with his glances, pinilit ko lang maging matapang.
"You said you'll be meeting a big-time customer today, right? You should prepare early," dagdag niya.
Napatigil ako. So he bought my excuses?
"It's-"
He cut me off. "Won't you invite me to come inside and have me some coffee? Besides it's still early, still perfect for a coffee. And..." hinagod niya ng tingin ang suot ko at tumigil sa bandang dibdib ko "I think you need to cover those beauties of yours," he grinned.
