Better Days (Greenflame)

PoV Kai

I stared out of the window.

Everything seemed so pointless since I lost my fire in a battle.

I couldn't save people anymore, couldn't even protect those I loved the most.

I opened my hand to see nothing.

Still no fire.

I felt so cold.

Suddenly I heard a knock on the door.

"Kai?", the voice asked.

I sighed. Lloyd. What did he want?

"Come in", I called, not moving from my spot.

The famous green ninja entered my room.

"Hey, are you okay?", he asked softly, sitting down on the bed next to my chair.

"Do I look okay? Do I really look okay?!", I didn't mean to yell at him.

It seemed like punch in the face.

"Kai, I'm just trying to help.", he said, standing up. Then he proceeded to leave the room.

"I know, sorry, please don't go. I...I don't want to be alone", my voice broke at the end.

Lloyd came over and put a hand onto my leg.

Then he smiled his irresistible smile.

That was my other reason to give up on life.

Lloyd would never love me the way I wanted him to.

Tears started to spill from me eyes as the green Ninja hugged me.

I held onto him for dear life and tried to stop the tears from falling.

Lloyd shouldn't see me cry, but I was to weak. To pathetic.

Suddenly he said something I'd never forget.

"Kai, better days are ahead."
