PoV Kai
The villains had left terror, sadness and destruction, but they were defeated.

Wherever I looked in the small town they had attacked was death. My hands formed into fists. Why couldn't we stop this sooner?!

Why had it been so hard to defeat these assholes?!

Suddenly someone closed their fingers around my fists. My expression of anger turned into one of sadness, as my boyfriend pulled me into his embrace.

Suddenly there was a weird noise. Cole didn't seem to hear anything, but I did. I ripped myself away from him and sprinted towards a destroyed building.

I dug in the dirt, threw stuff behind me and finally made my way to a room that looked like it was about to fall apart. There someone had stocked pieces of the walls almost like a stone tent.

"COLE! GET YOUR ASS OVER HEAR AND HELP ME!", I yelled in distress, because I was very much aware of the crying noise from out of the stone tent.

Cole finally reached me and I told him to help me get the crying thing out. It was quite difficult, but we managed to get through the stones.

I pulled out a tiny toddler and carefully cradled it in my arms.

"Damn, Kai, I didn't even hear.", Cole said from behind me, but I was gazing at the small being in my arms.

"Hey there, little one. Don't worry, we'll find your parents.", I said lovingly. The toddler reached for my face and giggled.

We made our way out of the building and started searching until we found a few survivors. Sadly we were told that the girl's parents both died in the attack.

Finally the other Ninjas approached us.

"She's hungry. We need to get her somewhere warm and safe, plus she smells like shit.", I said as we made our way to the ship once the townsfolk was safe and send us home.

"Kai, you can't swear I front of a child!", Cole cried out. I chuckled.

"Can I swear in front of you?", I asked the baby girl.

She giggled.

"See? She's fine with it!", I said proudly.

"We need to find new parents for her.", Cole said clearly when we were home.

"We could give her to our parents, right Kai? I'm sure Mum would be-", Nya started, but I cut her short.

"We're not giving her away to nobody.", actually, I was surprised by the thing I just said.

I was currently feeding her with something that I made after a recipe from the internet. Luckily Misako had kept Lloyd's bottles in a box in the attic.

The others went silent after I send them all death glares. I had changed the girls diapers. We had just bought some.

Now I tugged her away safely in a small nest Jay had build out of blankets and pillows.

Cole pulled me aside.

"You're not planning to adopt her, right?", he asked.

"Why not? We were able to take care of Wu when he was a child and I do remember you loved taking care of him. Besides, you're turning thirty in a month. How many chances do you think you will get to have a child with me?", I replied angrily, but quiet so I wouldn't wake the precious princess.

I never was one to love babies, but this one? I had her for less than a day and if anyone would try to take her away from me I would probably kill them.

"We're Ninjas, Kai. We could die on any mission. Do you want her to loose her parents twice?", Cole asked softly. Then he tried to hug me, but I pushed him away.

"But", I started again.

Cole shut me up with a soft kiss.

"Let's find her a safe home, shall we?", he said carefully.

I nodded.

Cole and I took care of the baby for a few months. One day, while I was playing with the baby, some random couple walked in with my sister.

"Kai, I want to introduce you to Michael and Sarah. They want to meet the baby.", Nya said softly.

I looked at the couple. They looked very average and nice.

The woman approached us and got on her knees next to MY girl. I asked them lots of questions and sadly they were fully capable of taking care of a child.

They would take my baby away in a week!

I couldn't let that happen, I loved this child!

So, that's why two days later I was quickly stuffing anything we needed into a car I had rented, put my baby girl into her seat and kissed her forehead.

Then I closed her door, got in the front seat and drove off. We reached the next city in an hour and thankfully the girl I named Natasha slept through the whole ride.

I had already been in the apartment that day and I had made it ready. I would raise Natasha and nobody could stop me!

PoV Cole
I watched Kai drive off and sighed. So he loved the girl that much?

I mean, I did love her too, but how were we supposed to take care of her? We were Ninjas!

"Cole? It's late, why are you outside?", Lloyd asked from behind me.

"Just enjoying the nice air.", I lied.

I would get Kai and the girl back. Tomorrow.

"Kai? You need to come back. You can't", I told Kai on the phone, but he cut me off:

"I can and I will raise her! I was actually hoping you would join me, but if you won't I will just do it alone."

I sighed. "Alright, babe. I know you're stubbornness. But you have to understand, we can't raise her!", I carefully said.

"Because we're Ninjas, right?", he replied.

"Exactly.", I agreed.

"Well, then I don't want to be a Ninja anymore.", Kai stated. Then he hung up on me.

I sat down on the couch. What was I even doing?! I loved this man! I couldn't miss this chance to have a child with him!

I jumped up again.

Then I ran to my room and started packing my stuff.

"Damn, bro, you're leaving too?", Jay suddenly asked, standing in the doorframe.

"Kai will not give this child away and I mustn't leave him alone.", I explained.

"Alright, I saw this coming. I believe in you two. Just don't throw us out of your lives", Jay pleaded. I nodded.

Then I called Kai.

~around 12 years later~

"Off you go, darling!", Kai said lovingly, kissing Natasha's cheek, before she ran off into the school building.

The thirteen year old waved at us and I waved back.

I smiled softly.
