This is kinda incomplete and seems rushed on purpose. It's another fanfic up for adoption! I don't have the time to actually write it, but here you go...

PoV Cole
"IT'S NOT FAIR! HE WAS SUPPOSED TO COME HOME!", I heard Nya yell, while she punched the punching bag so hard, it crashed into the ceiling.

I wanted to comfort her, I wanted to help, but I just couldn't! She was right, Kai was supposed to come home from that solo mission, but he didn't!

He had been missing for three weeks now. At first we thought he'd just take a little longer. We thought he'd be back soon.

But he wasn't back yet. I felt tears rise into my eyes, then wrapped my arms around Nya, so she couldn't move her arms.

I noticed her knuckles were bleeding.

"Please, this doesn't help in any way! We all want him back, but we need to calm down. I mean, it's Kai! What could possibly happen to Kai!", I sobbed out. Suddenly Nya started crying really hard.

Luckily Jay entered the room and comforted both of us. I went for a walk.

Looking at the red evening sun I wondered if Kai had run away. If he couldn't handle the responsibilities anymore. We had talked about thoughts like this not long ago.

Then again, he said he could never. Plus, he wouldn't leave like this. Never.

I turned around and went home. This job was so dangerous. I had never really thought of what would happen if one of us died...

I had never even wanted to think about it.

I put headphones on and turned the radio up.

"Now, live from Ninjago prison,where a raging fire destroyed half of the building. Officer, how many criminals do you think have escaped?", a reporter asked. I froze.

"Well, we aren't sure yet, a few hundred. The green Ninja showed up, but way to late. Apparently the villian didn't trigger their alarms.", a man explained.

The reporter asked: "what was the cause of the fire? Do you have a clue?"

"It seems to be an unnatural force, we weren't able to extinguish it.", the man explained. I hurried home.

Lloyd was sitting in the dojo with the others, looking in shock.

"Cole...sit down.", he sighed.

I did.

"Did you hear about the prison break?", Jay asked.

I nodded. What was going on?!

"It was Kai. I saw him. He created the fire." , Lloyd dropped a bomb.

I chuckled, then realized he was serious and apologized.

"That's...something. You're really sure? Because why would he do that?", I asked.

"That's what we're wondering. What kind of mission did he go on exactly?", Jay wondered.

"A small group of punks had taken over an abandoned mansion, but it was supposed to be demolished. His job was to talk to them and get them out.",  Lloyd  explained.

"Maybe those 'punks' were more dangerous than expected.", I thought out loud.

"No, he finished that mission. The building was demolished. Whatever happened, it happened afterwards.", Lloyd sighed.

"But we searched the area!", Jay huffed.

"Indeed. I also couldn't track him the whole time. Something was blocking the signal.", Zane explained.
