PoV Cole
"Stay with me, please...", I sobbed against his chest.

Kai carefully ran a hand through my hair and whispered: "I'm trying."

Then he groaned loudly. I knew he was in pain, I knew he was fighting to stay awake.

The wound in his side was bleeding badly, even though I tried to cover it with my bare hands.

Kai coughed loudly and I watched in horror as blood came out of his mouth.

"Damn,this shit tastes awful.", He said.

Tears ran down his cheeks.

"My dearest, look at me.", He said,"I know this is...just stay strong, okay? Find someone new, someone that you can raise children with and...and grow old."

"No,no, you will survive! I promise, you-", he cut my short with a wave of his hand.

"Shouldn't promise what's out of your control. Cole, I love you.", Kai smiled up at me.

Then he said: "at least the last thing I see is your face. I love your face..."

I sobbed loudly as a heartwrecking noise came out of his mouth.

I removed my hands from the wound and pulled him close instead. He didn't wrap his arms around me as he used to.

Right then the ambulance arrived.

They took him away under a blanket and drove me to the city. At this point I was screaming his name until my throat was sore.

I had watched the life leave his eyes, his body, and I couldn't take it.

When we arrived at the hospital there were paparazzi everywhere.

Someone asked if I would like to wash my hands and surely, they were covered in his blood.

I washed my hands till they were itching.

Soon the other Ninja arrived, but at that point everyone knew there was nothing anybody could do for Kai.

They took me home.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have underestimated the enemy and send you two alone. This is all my fault.", Lloyd suddenly said at home.

I looked at him for a moment, then I sobbed loudly.

"I wanted to marry him. Have kids, raise them. Build a home with him. We were supposed to grow old together...", I sniffed.

Silence, then Zane walked up to me and hugged me tightly.

"He didn't deserve this, why did that happen?! Why him?", I cried out against my friends shoulder.

"Let it out.", He said.

"I, I should've been better, stronger, saved him! He was so brave! My angel..."

"We will miss him. A lot.", Zane replied softly.

"Remember when he learned to swim?", I sniffed.

"He would hit the water around him. Looked like a wet poodle.", Lloyd sobbed out.

"And when he tried to cook for you, Cole.", Zane chuckled sadly.

"He almost burned the kitchen down and then he ordered Pizza.", I smiled.

Jay and Nya entered the room just then.

"We will never forget him.", Jay said and I could hear how strained his voice was. We were all crying.

When I lay in bed alone that night and closed my eyes, I saw his lifeless body again. I saw his eyes, that didn't glow anymore.

Then his words came to my mind.

"At least the last thing I see is your face. I love your face..."
