PoV Kai
Some time has passed since master Wu took us in. It's been a while since he trained us into killing machines.

We were a team, perfect unison, working together like the little gears of a clockwork. Nothing could tear us apart.

Nothing?

Well,  except for Lloyd.

He was the nephew of our boss and immediately started getting special treatment. He also took the place of our teamleader Morro, who had gone missing.

Now, that wasn't fair, was it?! We all worked so hard to get this far and all he did was look pretty and make bitchy comments.

Making it short, my team hated our leader.

That's why we were in a secret meeting.

"I say we do what we usually do with rivals and people that don't deserve their place.", I huffed.

"No, we cannot kill him. If master found out, he would be so angry and disappointed!", Jay shook his head. He was right.

We couldn't disappoint master Wu.

"I think we should just wait for him to make a mistake. He will. Then master will see that this child is not suited for a position like this.", my sister thought out loud.

We nodded.

PoV Cole
Lloyd was so arrogant, so full of himself, it was disgusting.

Today we had an important mission in the rival mafia's territory. Caution was needed.

We were all very tense.

Our mission was to shoot the leader and not get shot, which was harder than you think.

Lloyd joked the whole way to the place, nobody laughed though. He just didn't get the hint.

Finally, when we reached our destination, he started to be quiet. Then he gave us such ridiculous orders, did he even check anything?

"Sir? With all respect, you can't send Kai this close to the rivals without someone having bis back! This isn't paintball!", I huffed.

Lloyd looked at me angrily.

"I just did. Do as you're told, soldier.", he ordered. I was very much offended, but did as I was told anyway.

This mission would be Lloyd's mistake, this would cost him his position!

I was more in the back, when the first shot rang and hell started unfolding.

I looked in the direction of the shots and there were so many of our enemies! Wait, wasn't Kai down there?! KAI!

I gave up my cover, so did the rest of the team. We wouldn't leave our favorite hot blooded man alone in this. Lloyd was nowhere to be seen.

We managed to dodge most of the shots, even though I got hit in the leg and Jay lost blood too.

It did not matter. Kai was in there and we would get him.

Suddenly a few well pointed shots rang through the air and all of the rival men that were left dropped dead.

We looked up to see Lloyd, who came running towards us.

"Why didn't you listen to me?! I had a plan!", he huffed.

"How about you tell us the plan next time!", Jay cried out.

"I-, it doesn't matter. We got what we wanted.", the boy sighed.

Suddenly soft crying could be heard from a few feet away.

"At what prize?!", Nya yelled desperately, holding the dead body of her brother.

"Er, you win some, you lose some.", Lloyd huffed.

Zane held me back as I tried to strangle Lloyd.

I took a deep breath, then picked up Kai from Nyas arms.

We made our way home and everyone except for Lloyd was crying softly.

Wu was waiting for us.

"Sensei!", Nya sobbed out.

"Why didn't you do as Lloyd told you? He told me already.", Sensei huffed.

I stepped forward and lay Kai down at his feet.

"He let them kill Kai. We just tried to protect him.", I sniffed.

Wu checked his pulse and then looked at Lloyd shocked.

"You sacrificed one of my boys? Is this true?", sensei asked.

"We still finished the mission.", Lloyd huffed.

"You prioritized that mission over a human life?! Lloyd. That is unacceptable. Go to your room,I will deal with you later.", Wu stated, as tears formed in his eyes.

"But", Lloyd started .

"GO!", Wu yelled. Lloyd lowered his head and ran to his room.

Wu pressed Kai's body against his chest, crying softly.

"My boy...I'm sorry. So sorry.", Sensei spoke.

Usually we would've buried him with the other soldiers in our mafias cemetery, but we all knew he didn't want that. He would want to be with his family.

The ceremony was slow and painful we saw our friends disappear in the hole.

His hometown was quiet and I now understood why Kai always came back here anytime he could.

He was buried next to his parents and that just made it so much worse for Nya.

Lloyd was moved to a boarding school, where he was supposed to learn what teamwork ment.

That was good, but it wouldn't bring Kai back...
