I found you crying in a corner (highschool AU)

PoV Cole
I hummed a small melody as I entered the locker room.

"So what are you gonna do? Run to your daddy? Oh, I forgot! You don't have one", I suddenly heard a voice saying.

"Maybe I'll just fuck your mum", came a cockily replie, then the sound of something crashing into a locker.

I moved around the corner. Standing there was Morro, who was my grade, and his gang. They were surrounding another boy.

I didn't know the boys name, but we had history class together.

"Aren't you super gay, f@ggot ?", Morro growled, holding the boy up by his hair, because his legs seemed like they had given in.

"You're right, I'm sure your Dad would love to-", he started, but immediately earned a kick in the balls.

Before he could cause further damage I grabbed Morros shoulder.

"Leave him alone.", I ordered.

Luckily I was obviously taller and stronger than Morro.

He huffed, but waved for his gang to leave with him.

I offered my hand to the boy, but he only groaned and got up by himself.

"How about a thank you?", I laughed at his face.

"What for? Everything was under control", he replied. Then he left the room.

The next day, after school had ended, while I was making my way through the halls, I heard laughing.

Then I saw Morro and his gang walking out of a bathroom together. This seemed bad, so I entered the bathroom.

I immediately heard soft sobbing.

I spotted a red hood in a corner. After walking over to the person I knelt down in front of them.

I only now realized it was the rude boy from yesterday.

"Everything under control, huh?", I sighed.

"Shut up.", he almost barked.

"What did they do?", I asked carefully.

The boy shrugged, but finally looked into my eyes.

His eye was blue and his lip bleeding.

I pulled out some tissues, made them wet and wiped the blood off of his face.

"Is that all?", I wanted to know.

He shook his head, then raised his arm that was weirdly deformed.

"They broke it.", he whispered.

"That's it, we're now going to tell a teacher"

"No!", he yelled as I already got up,"Please, nobody is gonna believe us! Telling a teacher would only make it worse."

"Fine. My Dad is waiting outside, we'll take you to a hospital"

I found out the boys name was Kai. I also found out that he had a sister and that they had been adopted ever since their parents died.

He didn't tell me himself, actually his sister did, when she came to thank me for taking her stubborn brother to the hospital. 

I don't know why I'm still thinking about him, he didn't even thank me.

But here I was, instead of spending lunch break with my friends, walking up to the table where he was sitting alone with his sister.

I sat down next to him.
