PoV Kai
I felt the anger bubble up and fill me to the brim like a mordant liquid eating me up from inside.

My hands formed into fists and, oh, I was so ready to hit Cole straight in the face. I wanted to tear him apart limb by limb.

"Kai, are you okay?", her voice brought me back into reality and I was thankful for that.

Lumi turned to Cole and said: "Have you met my boyfriend?"

I relaxed a bit.

"That's right. I'm her boyfriend. Oh, and we have in fact met already", I growled. Lumi pressed my hand a little.

"Oh, sorry. I didn't know you were dating,  if I did I wouldn't have flirted like that. Sorry.", he said, but I didn't believe one bit.

"Anyway, we gotta leave. See ya Cole!", My girl giggled and pulled me away.

When we had made our way down the street I asked: "where are we going?"

"Well, away from him, obviously. He was making me angry and don't you think I didn't see the way you looked at him."

"I mean, he said nothing that wasn't true, but in that slimey tone?", I chuckled.

Lumi giggled too.

Then she froze.

"You're not worrying about him, are you? You're my only one.", she said.

I carefully kissed her forehead.

"I know,  babe. Love you.", I smiled.

She squealed with happiness. Oh, how much I loved this girl. She was so amazing, loving and overall adorable.

We went to my parents place, where we went to my room to make out.

I loved her, I loved her so much!

I was on my way to class, when suddenly I heard Lumis voice.

I couldn't understand what she was saying. Curious, I made my way over to where I thought the voice came from.

I was about to call out her name, when I spotted Cole. THAT BASTARD!

He had his lips on hers! I froze for a few seconds. Then I shot towards the guy and pulled him away from MY girl. I then tried to punch him, but he reacted quickly and blocked my attack. Punches were thrown, but we both weren't going to give in.

"STOP!", someone yelled, but I was so angry.

"Kai, please stop...", the voice said. Now I recognized it. Lumi. My sweet darling. I let my fists sink. Cole used that chance to hit my so hard, my head started ringing. I fell to my knees.

Lumi immediately rushed to my side and started inspecting the damage.

"Oh, that looks bad. Oh, baby.", she sighed, handing my a tissue for my bleeding nose.

"Lumi. Did he hurt you?", I asked.

"No, it's okay. We have to get you to the nurse. Oh baby, I could've solved that myself !", she replied.

"I know, I just, I lost it. I'm sorry.", I sighed, carefully getting up with her help. I didn't pay attention to the students around me.

I got expelled for two days, but it was totally worth it.

The part that fucked with my mind was that someone filmed our fist fight and uploaded it on MyTube, making me seem like the bad guy.

Even Cole apologized for tje following shit storm. Luckily I got Lumi, who helped me see the light. She was what kept the fire burning.

I was in my room, listening to cheesy rock-love songs and doing my homework, when suddenly I got a call.

Unknown number.

I didn't pick up, until they called for the third time.

"Hello? Who's there?", I asked.

"Hey, uhm, Kai? Kai Smith? It's Rubin, Luminaras sister.", a female voice said.

I leaned back.

"Yeah, it's me. Is everything alright?", I asked.

"Not really. You need to come to the hospital.", the girl sniffed.

I sat up straight and asked, what happened.

"Lumi has been in an accident. We...we were out in the city, we just wanted to cross the road, the light was green!", she sobbed. I had jumped up and grabbed everything I needed.

"The driver was being chased by the police. Kai, he hit my sister! She's in a coma!"

I hung up and drove to the hospital immediately in my Dads car.

I didn't make it.

Lumi was dead when I arrived.

We didn't get to say goodbye.

Rubin took me to their stepparents house. Her stepmum called my parents to get the car and told them what had happened.

Rubin and I sat together on the couch. I was blinded by tears and choking on my heavy sobs. My girl, my sweet angel, gone! Just like that!

Why?!

Eventually her mum gave me one of the plushies Lumi had treasured the most. I recognized it. It was the bear I gave her for Christmas. She had put accessories on it.

"She really liked that bear. Cuddled it everynight. Oh, my sweet girl...", her father sobbed. I held onto the bear, still sobbing and choking.

Eventually my mum came to get me. I took the bear home. I cuddled it every night.

Weeks went by. Nya said I wasn't the same anymore.

How could I be the same?

My Lumi was dead! My heart wasn't whole anymore.

How was I supposed to keep going now?

People mostly left me alone, I lived my life on standby.

I went to therapy.

I worked on my issues.

I just wished I could've said goodbye...
