PoV Lloyd
The battle was raging on around me, but all I could see was him.

Kai was lying in my arms, his chest bleeding.

I was running. To the ship.

Master Wu would fix Kai, he just had to!

I had told everyone to stop fighting and come back to the ship because we couldn't win this.

Now all I had to do was reach the ship in time.

"Lloyd", Kai coughed in my arms.

"It's okay, I got you, we're almost there!", I yelled between my shaky breathing.

Kai shook his head.

"Your to slow", he choked out.

He was right, I could almost feel their hitchy breathing in my neck.

Dark creatures that had come from a crack in the ground.

"Leave...me behind!", Kai yelled.

I only pressed him to my chest tighter.

"No, Wu will fix you, I won't leave you behind!", I shouted back.

A claw grabbed for my back and ripped my suit apart but I didn't stop running.

Faster.

My breath got stuck in my lungs a few times but I didn't stop till I reached the ship.

I ran up into savety.

Only then I noticed that Kai had gone limp in my arms.

I fell to my knees, holding onto my best friend.

"Kai? Do you hear me?", I asked, my weak voice shaking.

He wasn't moving anymore.

Not even his toned chest was rising.

"KAI, WAKE UP!", I yelled.

But Kai didn't wake up.

The others had appeared around us.

I started sobbing violently.
