PoV Lloyd
I was walking down the hallway, clutching my books to my chest as he walked past me.

Morro. The captain of the football team and the most popular kid in this school.

"Hey, freak! You wanna have some fun?", he asked, his crew laughing.

"No, I think I'm perfectly fine", was all I said, before trying to walk faster.

Suddenly I tripped over my own feet and fell to the floor.

My books landed on Morro. Oh no!

Morro growled deeply and pulled me up by my hair. I whimpered.

"Listen hear little bug. When I say let's have fun we are having fun and you aren't. No choice. Just pain.", he laughed.

Suddenly Morro let me go and stumpled backwards.

"Hey, are you okay?", a boy with brown sticky hair asked. He offered me his hand and I gladly took it and stood up.

Now I was gazing into the most beautiful amber eyes I had ever seen. But not for long, because Morro's crew grabbed the boy and pushed him up against a locker.

"How dare you punch Morro?!", they yelled at him. Someone threw a punch, but the boy docked it.

"Ts, I could have done much worse", the boy smirked, then he winked at me.

Took me a second to realize what he ment, but when I did I grabbed my things and made a run for it.

PoV Kai
"Your first day, Kai! Your fucking first day in our highschool and you come home looking like this?! Sensei won't be happy!", my so called brother Cole sighed, cleaning my lip with a damp cloth.

My sister Nya and I had been adopted by a man that called himself Sensei Wu a few weeks ago.

We weren't his only adopted kids, but I really didn't care.

I had been an orphan for 11 years now.

Everyone who had tried to adopt me before had given me back to the orphanage because I caused to much trouble.

And now I was sure it wouldn't change.

"I didn't have a choice, that gang was hurting one of the freshmen. Well, he was either a freshman or extremely small", my thoughts trailed of to the boy.

So cute.

"Wait, which gang?", Jay asked, entering the room.

I shrugged,"Don't know, weird guys in green and black"

"Are you serious? That was probably Morro! Good luck finding friends now! If Morro doesn't like you nobody does", Cole smacked me a little and I growled.

Second day. Wu was really calm yesterday. He said I did the right thing and that he was proud of me.

That almost made me cry. It had been such a long time since someone had been proud of me.

But now I was in school again. Urg.

I went into my class when I noticed him. Blond hair, green eyes, the cute boy from yesterday!

I went to his desk and asked if the seat next to him was free.

He gave me a soft nod.

"Hi, I'm Kai"

"Lloyd, Lloyd Garamadon. That's me", he blurted out and I laughed a little.

He blushed, which looked really adorable.

"Thank you for helping me yesterday", he then whispered.

I gave him a smile:"no problem"

"What. A. Surprise! The freak and the other freak found each other, how cute!", a voice suddenly laughed.

Lloyd seemed to shrink in his seat.

"Hey, brownie. You're Wu's new baby, right? How does it feel when you're parents hate you so much, they give you away?", he laughed at his own joke.

I gritted me teeth.

"My parents are heroes. It's not their fault that they died", I said through my teeth.

"Yeah, sure!", laughter, the whole class erupted in laughter,"Did you never think they lied to you? Your parents just didn't fucking want you!", Morro continued.

That was it. I stood up and grabbed him by the shirt collar.

"Don't talk about my parents.", I growled.

"Hey! Let him down Smith! And everybody else, back to your seats!", oh no, the teacher.

I slowly let Morro down and he sent me a death glare.

"Smith, Morro (who apparently doesn't have a last name) explain yourselves", the teach then said.

"I did literally nothing! He just attacked me!", Morro lied.

I gulped as the class nodded.

"That's not true! He was making fun of me and my parents!", I pointed out.

I could spot Jay in front of the class. He was looking away.

"Lloyd?", I asked hopefully. He looked away too.

So I scoffed, grabbed my bag and left the room.

When I had left the school building behind I started running. I knew where I was going.

The old smithy was just the same as it was when I ran away last time.

I rolled myself into a ball and started sobbing uncontrollably.

I stayed in this position till night came and darkness fell.

I could just stay here, tomorrow I'd be dead. That would be so nice.

Just sleep in and never wake up.

Wouldn't be the first time I tried to...

Maybe Morro was right and my parents just hate me.

Maybe I really am just a troublemaker.

"Kai! Are you in there?", a familiar voice called. Nya...

"Kai, hey?", she said, entering the smithy.

"Go away. I'm bad for you anyways. Bad influence", I thought out loud.

"Kai, that's not true. Wu is waiting outside, come on", Nya knelt down in front of me.

"Jay told us everything and he is sorry for not helping you", she then added.

I sniffed and let her pull me up.

Then I pulled her into a hug.

Nya wrapped her arms around me and cuddled into my chest.

A few minutes later we sat in Wu's car.

"Kai, I won't send you away" , he suddenly said.

Then he added:"Lloyd is my nephew, you know? He said some very nice things about you", Wu chuckled softly.

I smiled. Lloyd...
