Kimberly’s POV
The bell for the last class of the day rang, and I was the first to run out of class. I really hated Mondays, especially when I had an awesome weekend like I had just had. I hated this Monday even more in particular because Fiona hadn’t shown up. I’d been texting her all day, but she wasn’t answering me. Racing to my locker, I did my combination, opened it and threw my books inside. The way this school worked was if you didn’t get out of the parking lot within five to ten minutes after class ended, then you’d get stuck in traffic. I didn’t feel like dealing with traffic, so I needed to hurry. Before I could slam my locker, someone slammed it shut for me. A smile appeared on my face, I thought it might have been Vinny but instead it was someone I’d never seen before. He had dark hair that was styled in such a way that it was sticking up and beautiful blue eyes. He had a smile to die for, and it showed all of his pretty teeth. This boy definitely scored adorable in my book, but why was he smiling at me like that? The real question was why was he smiling at me like that at all? Folding my arms, I stood my ground, staring him square in the face. He cracked a gorgeous smile and looked me up and down. I thought he’d done that before. This was weird.
“It’s a bit late to admire me, don’t you think? February is gone.”
“You weren’t here in February if I recall correctly.” He said in a Danish accent.
“Are you Danish?” I asked him. A smile curled at his lips.
“Some of that, some Aussie, and American.” He looked at me, amused. “But I can speak with an American accent too.” the Danish accent he was just speaking in vanished, and he sounded like he was American. I blinked at him, more than a little amused by this.
“I bet you get a lot of girls because you can switch accents just like that.”
“I do.” He said honestly with a smile. I frowned.
“Do I know you?” I asked him. It should’ve been the first thing, but I guess it slipped my mind.
“You can get to know me. You should let me take you out for dinner or lunch.”
“You’re crazy! I’ve never even seen you before!” I said suddenly remembering that I needed to get the heck out of here. I started to walk towards the front door, done with this little weird conversation.
“That is precisely why we can get to know each other.” He said grabbing my arm before I could walk any further. I snatched my hand from him.
“Look, guy, whatever your name is—“
“Will.” He offered.
“Will, I really need to go. And I’m not going to dinner with you. So you can forget that we ever had this little convo.”
“What about lunch?”
“What?”
“Will you come have lunch with me?”
“Will—“
“You will? Great. How about tomorrow during lunch here? I’ll take you anywhere you want to go.”
“I’m not going anywhere with you.” I said practically jogging down the hall to get away from him. He sure was strange.
When I got outside, cars were already lined up trying to leave the parking lot. Damn that stupid boy! Now I would have to deal with this traffic. I weaved my way around the cars, walking over to mine. Pulling out my cell phone, I called Vinny to see what he was doing, and if he wanted to come with me over to Fiona’s. It didn’t ring more than five times before I hung up because he was already waiting by my car. He looked excited. I snapped my phone shut and stuffed it into my pocket, walking up to him with a smile. He looked so sexy. Gosh, I really wished he wasn’t into dudes.
