Lucy's POV

The rest of the week went by fairly uneventfully. Classes were going well and I was managing the homework. Jennie and I were getting along great and after dinner we used to hang out with Harry, Ron and Hermione together.

The training with Severus also was going well and he began teaching me basics of Occlumency and also decided to teach me a bit more about potions, seeing as though I was doing really well in his class.

"You can't believe how glad I am my daughter enjoys potions as much as I do." He chuckled as we were brewing one together. That was the first time I heard him laugh and it honestly warmed my heart. I only knew him for a short time but we grew closer each day and I could tell he was beginning to let his cold and composed exterior fade slowly when he was around me. I also started to feel more and more comfortable around him.

"I'm really looking forward to Sunday." I said and he hummed in response.

We decided that Sunday would be the best day to do the training outside.

After we finished brewing the potion successfully, I waved goodbye as I exited his office and headed to dinner.

At dinner I stood up and waved towards where Harry, Ron and Hermione were sitting as they waved back. I was about to sit back down and enjoy my meal when I spotted Jake glaring at me once again from the Gryffindor table. This time he looked even more angry. I simply rolled my eyes and decided to ignore it and dig into my food.

Saturday rolled around and I spent most of it in the Library with my friends and helped them with a potions assignment that I had already finished a few days ago in Severus office. I was really starting to think potions might be my strong suit because it all made so much sense to me and I picked up all the information Severus gave me very quickly.

The next day was Sunday and I was really looking forward to it. I woke up early when Jennie was still asleep and knocked on Severus door to his personal chambers which was connected to his office. I was wearing one of the outfits I had bought in Diagon Alley seeing as though on weekends I did not need to be wearing my school uniform. I had put on a black sweater with black jeans and some black boots. I also put on some silver earrings I bought and I tied my hair up into a ponytail.

With a yawn Severus opened the door and told me to come in and wait for him to get ready.

I had never been in his personal living space before but I must say it looked quite comfortable. There was a small kitchen and living room in one room and another door that I assumed led to his bedroom.

Once he was ready we went outside to a field near the castle but far enough away that nobody would interrupt or watch us from inside the castle.

"Alright, how about you send an attack my way and I will see how I can block it." He called out as he stood a few meters away from me.

I made my hand flat like Sting had taught me and with a swishing motion directed it at Severus. Multiple little blade like looking fragments of light shot towards him as he used a defence spell to halt the attack, but one of them seemed to get past that spell. It hit the bottom of his leg and I saw it slash through his robes. My eyes widened as I saw it must have also pierced his skin because a diagonal cut appeared on his leg and started dripping with blood.

"I'm so sorry!" I raced towards him and crouched down to observe the wound.

"I'm sorry I really didn't know it would do that." I apologised once again. I was expecting him to be really mad at me when I looked up but he simply stretched out his hand to help me back up and gently rubbed my shoulder.

"Don't worry about it, it barely hurts. And besides, this is what these training sessions are for, to see what your powers are capable of and I must say that is quite a skilful attack. I bet if you get better at it, it could become something very useful in combat."

I frowned and continued looking at his cut, but he simply moved part of his cape over it so I could no longer look at it.

"I'm fine, really." He reassured and gave me a small smile.
