Lucy's POV

"Harry! You look just like James." The man who was Pettigrew spoke.

"How dare you speak to Harry! You are the reason his parents are dead." Sirius pushed Pettigrew against the wall.

"You sold James and Lily to Voldemort." Lupin drew his wand at the man. That angered me even more than Harry stealing my wand. The man right there was the reason my mother was killed.

I started forming a ball of light in my hand, ready to attack this traitor when suddenly Harry yelled "No!" At the top of his lungs.

We all turned to face him. "We should have the dementors kill him, I don't want you to turn into murderers." Harry explained, looking at Sirius and Lupin.

Harry and Hermione helped Ron to walk out on one leg while Sirius and Lupin made sure Pettigrew wouldn't run away. I stayed behind and was finally able to check on my father.

He had dust all over him that he was trying to get off of his robe and out of his hair. He was still seated on the old bed, I went and grabbed his wand that was on the floor and gave it to him.

"Thanks." He said and I helped him up.

"Are you alright? Any injuries"? He looked me up and down but I just giggled and told him I was fine. "Come on then, we should get out of here too." He took a hold of my hand and led me out of the shack.

Once we got out, I saw Lupin staring wide-eyed at the full moon that was there. I cursed under my breath, knowing what was about to happen. He let his wand fall and didn't take his gaze off of the moon.

"Remus, my old friend please tell me you took your potion tonight." Sirius tried his best to get Lupin to snap out of it, but it was no use.

In the short time we took our eyes off of Pettigrew he had managed to take a hold of Lupins wand and fully turn himself into a rat again and run off into the darkness.

Terence, who I just noticed was also here, began chasing after him but I already knew it was too late and he had escaped. By this point, Lupins transformation was almost complete. At first he took Sirius into his claws and forcefully threw him into a hedge, then he looked at the moon and let out a long howl. Lupin then turned to face us again, saliva dripping down from his bared fangs.

In that moment, Severus jumped in front of us all and protectively spread his arms out so none of us would take damage. The werewolf striked, lucky for us he missed but we all ended up falling over, Severus included.

He quickly looked at me "are you alight?" I nodded and he looked back at Lupin. Out of some part of the forest we all suddenly heard a loud growl. This distracted the werewolf and I probably did something really reckless because of it, but I wanted to prove to everyone and Severus that I was not weak. I had been weak so often, the two times I was in the hospital with severe injuries, one of them taking months to heal. When I faced that boggart and was terrified of something that is so easily combattable. Now I was finally going to be strong.

I jumped out in front of the werewolf with a ball of light already forming in my hand. I could only use this magic now, seeing as though Harry was still in possession of my wand.

He growled at me but this time I held it together and was not afraid. I sent the light attack his way and it slashed through his arm. For a brief moment he winced in pain, then looked back at me and snarled. I could tell he was going to attack me.

"Lucy, get back here!" Severus called, but right in that moment a massive black figure came jumping out of the forest and onto Lupin.

"Shadow!" I called, so glad to see him. This was perfect timing for him to show up. The werewolf jumped on top of the dragons body but all it took for him was to make a flame erupt and Lupin scurried away into the forest.

Shadow turned around and made that purring sound he always did around me. I pet his nose and told him thank you for saving me.

"So that was that dragon you saved during your first year huh?" Severus asked, wiping off some dirt from my face with a wet washcloth. After Shadow had made the werewolf disappear he also went back into the forest. I of course had to explain why a dragon was suddenly being so friendly to me to everyone. Then Hermione brought Ron to the hospital to get his leg fixed while Harry and the others helped Sirius escape with Buckbeak. We knew this was the only way he could get away freely, by flight and Hagrid's hippogriff was the best option. Him and Harry had a small heart to heart conversation before Sirius disappeared and he offered for Harry to live with him instead of his aunt and uncle.

Severus took me straight inside after this event, asking me multiple times if I was okay. Surprisingly I had not gotten any wounds from this experience, only a bit dirty because of the dust and dirt inside the shack.

"You do know what you did was extremely rash and could have ended with you in the hospital again." Severus said sternly after I was all cleaned up. I looked down and slowly nodded.

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to show that I was strong too and not such a weakling." I said quietly.

Severus put his finger under my chin and forced me to look him directly in the eye.

"Listen, you are the complete opposite of weak. There is no need for you to prove anything. Now come here." He pulled me into a tight hug.
