Chapter 30

Lucy's POV

I was currently seated in Severus personal chambers on the couch. All day I hadn't really been feeling well, the moment I woke up I felt dizzy and my throat hurt. I went to Severus right after getting up to ask him if he had any medicine so I would feel better during class but he insisted I should take it easy for today.

So that is what I did, all day I spent on his couch, sipping tea and soup while doing some reading for classes. I was already feeling a lot better by the end of the day, Severus came in several times to check in on me between his classes and at lunch.

Towards the end of the day while he was at dinner I felt a bit sleepy so I took a nap.

Once I woke up I saw that Severus must have returned because my empty plate that was on the table before me was gone and the fireplace was on.

I looked at the clock and saw it read 1am. Sighing, I stood up and folded the blanket that was around me.

"I see you are awake, do you want to go sleep in my bed for the night?" Severus voice came out of nowhere and startled me.

"It's only me." He chuckled and gently rubbed my back after coming out of the kitchen area.

"I'm feeling a lot better so I think I am okay to go back to class tomorrow, I think I should head to my dorm now." I said and Severus nodded.

"Alright, but let me walk you there just in case."

I smiled at his overprotectiveness of me. It still baffled me to this day that I had finally found a parent figure that actually cares about me.

"Lumos." He spoke once he opened the door and we walked out. I held onto his arm while we were walking, honestly the dark kind of scared me and I thought I had heard a voice somewhere in the distance.

I was really glad Severus was with me right now. Then I heard the voice again and some footsteps.

"What was that." I shuddered.

Severus pulled me closer by putting his arm around me and we continued walking towards where my dorm was, which just so happened to be the direction from where the voice was coming from.

Suddenly Severus let out an annoyed sigh. I didn't understand why until I looked up from my feet where I was staring the whole time because I was afraid to look at whatever could be closing in on us.

"Potter." He spat. "What are you doing, wandering the corridors at night?"

This time I sighed, but definitely not the same way Severus did. I saw Harry standing there in the corridor.

"I was sleepwalking." He lied.

Severus lowered his wand "Turn out your pockets." He demanded.

Harry reluctantly pulled out some parchment from his hoodie pocket. "What's that?" I asked, now not afraid anymore since I knew it was only my friend who was making that noise. I really was confused though, why he was here and what he was doing up so late.

"Open it." Severus said before Harry could answer my question.

Harry did as he was told and the page looked blank at first but Severus snatched it out of my friends hands and held his wands light on it "Reveal your secrets." He spoke and out of nowhere writing began to show on the parchment.

I could not quite tell what it was saying because Severus wands light was blinding my vision a little, but it must have upset him because he held his wand up at Harry and spat "You little—"

"Professor!" He was cut off by Lupins voice behind us. He was my new D.A.D.A teacher.

"Ah Lupin, out for a walk in the moonlight?" I could tell Severus was teasing him and I couldn't help but quietly giggle a little at his remark. Severus had told me in private about why he was brewing so much Wolfsbane Potion recently. It was because my new Professor was actually a werewolf. Of course I would reveal to nobody that I was aware of this information.

Lupin was quick to take the curious parchment away from my father and read it himself. He laughed and put it into his own pocket.

"I guess this was designed to insult anyone who reads it, nevertheless I will confiscate it and examine it for any possible hidden magic." That explained why it angered Severus so much.

He looked down at Harry "would you come with me please?" Harry nodded and followed Lupin.

"Goodnight Professor. And Lucy, see you in class tomorrow." He said and then turned around and began walking away into the dark with Harry.
