He followed me everywhere. To the kitchen, to the shops, to the bathroom, absolutely everywhere. I was getting sick of it. Every time I was sat down he'd have his arms around me. I thought it was cute at first but now it's just getting old and annoying.

I'd talked to my friends about what I could do to stop him because I was worried that this might break our relationship up. They told me to try a few different ways if the first few didn't work. One of the plans was to just talk to him.

I tried to talk to him and let him know how I felt but he was more bothered about wrapping his arms around my waist, this just irritated me so much.

The next thing I tried was pushing him away or coming up with excuses why he couldn't come with me. To my disappointment - this didn't work either!

My final idea (I was hoping it wouldn't come to this but he left me no choice) was the silent treatment I completely ignored him and it worked, so much so that when I came home one day all his things and himself were gone.

This carried on for the next 3 months until he came back apologising for being too clingy and I also apologised for being so mean and giving him the silent treatment for so long.

After the day we both made up it was like we'd returned to being a normal couple.
